While the liberal Western press covers Israeli political corruption in excruciating detail, they treat Arab political corruption as non-existent.
In the US, the left-wing of the Democrat Party is increasingly anti-Israel.
So called Democratic progressives accuse Israel of committing human rights abuses, using “excessive force,” stealing land from Arabs, and refusing to make peace. Some on the left oppose the very existence of Israel as a Jewish state.

Libtards were raised without religious training and values. They substitute secularism for those. They see Israel as being synonymous with the Old Testament, steeped in its ancient history. Due to their lack of religious training, they feel ill at ease in the unfamiliar paradigm of its moral values, as they conflict with their secular ones. Thus, they have to invent reasons to attack Israel, to lessen its power to guilt-trip them. It’s racist/apartheid/writes mean tweets/invent any reason you like. Having then “lessened” Israel, they can feel more comfortable with their secular choices. Too bad they don’t know what they’re missing out on.
The Left hates democratic governments. Israel is the only nation in the middle east who routinely has elections and sometimes the new government leans to the right and sometimes leans to the left.
So it is natural for the Left to be friends with Muslim Terrorists who hate Israel.

What is it with all these people who are professing that they are gob smacked that liberals hate them, hate Jews, and are anti-Semitic? Have you been living under a rock since the 1960's? You ever heard of the Squad of the past five years? Wow, I continue to be astonished at how utterly dense these people are. During the Trump years (because Democrats hated everything Trump did, and Trump helped Israel) support for Israel cratered, and this year — for the first time — more Democrats support Palestine (49%) than Israel (38%). Republicans, on the other hand, support Israel at 78% versus Palestine at 11%, a very consistent ratio over decades.
Gallup attributes the change to Democrats' "waning religiosity" and there might be something to that: "Sympathy for Israel historically has been highly correlated with religion."
