I had a cold recently and tried Campbell’s Chunky Chicken soup. It was watery and tasted more of garlic then chicken soup. I have noticed this with their soups that say ‘Chunky’.

I have British cookbooks.
Christmas turkey:
Stuff & truss/sew the turkey, then boil it.
Remove from pot when done, and place in a hot oven to brown it.
Use the water from boiling to make the first course soup.
I have certainly never gotten up the nerve to try it; instead our turkey or chicken soups come from boiling down the carcass remains.
