COVID-19: More Free At-Home Tests Now Available To US Households ahead of the winter holiday season and a potential rise in cases.

The federal program offering free COVID-19 rapid at-home tests through the mail has just been restarted ahead of the winter holiday season and a potential rise in cases.

Every American household may order four of the tests starting Monday, Nov. 20 by visiting covid.gov/tests, the Department of Health and Human Services says.

If a household did not order four tests when the program was restarted in late September, it may place two orders for a total of eight tests now.

About 15 million households ordered tests in September.

Rapid tests ordered this week will begin being delivered on Monday, Nov. 27. The cost of shipping is also covered.

But first, before throwing out tests past their expiration dates, HHS recommends visiting this page to see if expiration dates have been extended.

WHO?

One way to keep the in-laws away. “Sorry, we all tested positive for wu-flu today. Maybe next year!”

LOL, don't throw out that moldy bread, see if the government says it's still good.

Exactly. Nothing is free, unless the manufacturer is not charging for them, in which case they will be out of business quicker than one can say Covid-19 free test please.

How do we know this won’t test positive if you have a cold or the flu, instead of the China Flu?

Yes, do all that to stay healthy…. but that has nothing to do with the Covid DemPanic

As for Covid, the best advice is to stay away from fake news networks “brought to you by Pfizer”, and ignore people who watch them.

That includes ABCNNBCBS and FOX.

The whole Covid thing was a scam - top to bottom - just like man-made climate change.

The virus doesn’t care about politics. Or what anyone believes.

Covid deaths nationally are floating along at about 75 per day. The latest Excess Death data (which btw is no longer updated as of Sept) says 0 EDs age 0-64. and 0 EDs for 85+. Oddly 65-84 still die excessively compared to 2019.

That is likely the age group for that 75 per day Covid death count still occurring.

There is likely still some residual vax protection in the population. Boosters at this point don’t look like they have a death count perspective value compared to just washing your hands now and then.

Predicting the Covid death count for the winter isn’t possible. It will likely be higher than today’s 75. Unless a new variant arrives with Delta level lethality, we won’t see 1000s per day like 2 yrs ago.

Not very odd if you are willing to open your eyes.

Nothing wrong with testing oneself. Proper application of testing, isolation, physical barriers against viral, bacterial, STD spread are proven techniques for MODERATING, to a great extent, the spread of many, if not all, contagious biological agents. Even works for birth control, except the testing part. Whada’ y’know.

Is the current covid variation a much less pathogenic version of the original? Very possible, and hopefully true.

What is the accuracy rate of these tests?
