Some leftists honestly acknowledge that a fetus is a human being but argue that the mother’s needs trump that baby’s life. Most, though, insist that the “miracle of birth” is just that—a miraculous moment when an inanimate, insensate lump of cells that has value only if the mother wants it magically converts into a human being, complete with rights.
Science, however, again reveals that the real magic happens in the womb. This time, the magic is that babies are already learning language before they’re born.
I’ve always known about the connection between a verbal mother and a child who learns to speak well and quickly. Indeed, Gerry Charlotte Phelps, one of my early blog friends and a fascinating woman, made that point vividly when she wrote about working with women in terrible urban slums. On her now-defunct website, she said that these women never talked to their children except to threaten them with punishment. In this, they starkly contrasted with middle- and upper-middle-class mommies who never stopped talking to their children. The chatty mommies do so because they know it’s good for their child’s intellectual development.
Of course, all of that occurs after the baby is born. But what about before it’s born? Well, experiments are showing that, even in the womb, babies are developing language skills:
If you're an expectant mother, chatting as much as possible could give your baby a headstart when it comes to learning to talk.
That's because new research has found your unborn son or daughter will start learning the language you speak before they're even born.
In experiments, researchers discovered heightened activity in the brains of newborns when they heard the language they were exposed to most often in utero.

Mom wasn't going the recent birth of her second son stop her from
singing in the choir - so brother stayed with dad and I during the service.
When the choir started singing, my brother heard mom's voice - I'm sure of it.
Dad was holding him on his shoulder as he struggled to turn all the way
around to look right at mom. He definitely heard and recognized her voice.
It was a memorable moment.
A beautiful picture, and one that further demonstrates why babies need a mother and a father. Same sex “parents” cannot bond and give the same kind of love that a mother and father can give—especially the mother in the early months and years.

Science says a human life begins at conception.
As does the bible.
Psalm 139:16
“Your eyes saw even the embryo of me, And in your book all its parts were down in writing, As regards the days when they were formed ...”
There is no doubt that, given the current arrangement of political forces, a fifteen week ban is there for the asking and there is room within the political system to get down to ten or even eight weeks in some places - but trying to force bans below that has the paradoxical result of voters passing constitutional amendments which mandate no limits.
Science says human life begins at conception
But the voters say 15 weeks.
There is a “clump of cells” stage of development, but it’s over before the woman knows she’s pregnant.
Sweet story!
When DD was born, DH was also in the room. I was holding her for the first time and said something that made Hubs laugh. He has a very distinctive voice. DD was about a minute old but her eyes widened like she was thinking “I know that voice!” She looked delighted.
She reasons that it is her house, and she has a right over it, and feels violated by this uninvited entity using her house and sustenance, and so she pushes him out the door he came thru, to be devoured by beasts.
The next day she finds the nest of a migratory bird with eggs, and is careful not to disturb it, since such are protected by law due to the value placed upon them.
Objection: this child is far more than a growth of cells.
Answer: it will be manifest quite soon that this "growth" is human, which has the parents DNA, while defining the value of a human based upon the degree of functionality translates into dispensing more humans than the unborn.
I’ve heard of people’s voices (usually the parents’) affecting an unborn baby. This is very interesting.
How can an “inanimate object” kick and move around, sometimes in a very visible way?
Part of the miracle of birth is that a being who breathes very differently inside the womb manages to survive a sudden change in atmosphere, going from liquid to nearly dry. Everything has to be in place for this drastic challenge for a baby’s respiratory system. Only a Creator can plan for such things, praise be to God!
So does common sense.
It’s a lot earlier than that. It’s around the end of the first trimester that they become able to recognize music, which they will still recall after birth.
