Especially in a Marxist hellhole like NYC where getting a tenant evicted is like trying to jump to the moon and back, the housing courts are ridiculously bias against landlords.
Look at Covid, they tell everyone in the city “Oh you don’t need to pay rent for a year” What the hell was that? Meanwhile they still charge the landlords taxes and demand landlords still lay out money for repairs, heating.
Real estate rentals to individuals was better years past when people in general were more responsible to meet their rental payments and respect property. Not so much in this trash culture and who needs the headaches. Unless one owns many properties and uses a rental management company to somewhat mitigate the impacting issues of bad renters.
