There is definitely a shortage of pilots, the flight school at my airport is SOLD out, they just bought another plane last week, and it will be booked solid by next week. Problem is, most of the instructors will be moving on to real flying jobs in the next 6 months and they desperately need more. But a lot of new students are coming in regularly. Gonna be interesting to watch it play out.
YES I realize that when Brandon starts the WWIII they will be calling me and my friends up, wont matter, we are still short of pilots big time.
And that's true. But there are so many more disadvantages to being an Air Force pilot.
OR, pilots can join any number of airlines at 5 times that rate.

I saw an ad recently by united airlines calling for people to enter into their pilot training program. Never seen that before.
