This is a 2013 tv video commercial from Publix Supermarkets and titled "Sprinkle The Joy".
Sweetest surprise ending one can imagine.
I worked at Publix in high school and college (1974 - 1981). It was a great company. I still shop there today.
Love that ad! No DEI surprises!
So glad I shop at Publix, nearly every day!
There are so many great things about living in Florida. One of them is Publix grocery stores, where they say …. shopping is a pleasure.
Very nice
Oh, my heart.
Especially love their bogos.
I honestly thought this was going to be a commercial for dishwashing soap!
Great, heartwarming ad. The child actress was perfect. Sweet, but no overacting or showing off.
I appreciated that Publix sometimes carried goods not always available in the southeast. It was a big deal to me when they started carrying Drake’s Ring Dings, Yodels and Funny Bones. (The Funny Bones went downhill, alas.)
I like shopping there because the staff is pretty cheerful and friendly and it’s a pleasant environment. Everything is clean and I think the employees take oriente in their store. It’s an employee owned business and a lot of kids go in there as baggers and then stay, go through college and make it a career.
I live in Florida, so there’s a lot of stores here. But I read that they’re expanding up towards Tennessee now.
Down here in the Treasure Coast of Florida, we have 2^2352097e10 Publix.
Everyone has their own store to shop in.
I like it!
“So glad I shop at Publix, nearly every day.”
Was part of my daily routine in Florida. I once visited five different Publix stores in one day for different BOGO deals. I dearly miss them, out here in western Colorado nothing compares.
There are very few stores that offer more. Wegman’s is great, but a bit much. Whole Foods is probably ok (never been in one). Walmart is probably cheaper.
But if you have a good neighborhood Publix (there are bad Publix’s - in bad areas, and w/ bad parking, over-crowded), then none of that really matters.
I can get in my car at 7am and go to my Publix - a small one between me and the beach - and get coffee or half and half and be back by 7:10am. It would take me 10 minutes to find coffee in a Wegman’s.
Being from South Florida and living in Virginia now, I was happy to see them come here.
But, they are really expensive compared to Krogers or Walmart.
Watch
Wow. Remember when there were commercials with straight, white people?
Use Publix’s website for the savings and the BOGO’s. They even preview next week’s deals a day early so if you need mayo, it may be BOGO tomorrow, so sit tight.
Bogo’s are great for stocking a pantry. Progresso soup, Heinz Ketchup, Mustard, Various BBQ sauces and salad dressings, etc. BOGO at Publix are all much cheaper than Walmart.
I buy chicken/steak from a local Italian market. But everything else is from Publix.
Publix is an extraordinary company and supermarket. The only “bad” ones we ever experienced were in Miami. The stores were fine but parking was a nightmare and you were “expected” to tip the bag boys who were required to help you out to the car...despite the “No tipping” company policy and signs.
Pre-internet days, the stores in Central FL would special order items even if you were the only one requesting the item.
