Pretty much everything about commercial airline travel is dirty and disgusting, so why should a cup of joe be any different? I hate flying, but I consider it a necessary evil if I want to go anywhere ~800 miles away and I don’t have unlimited leisure time.
Actually, the last Alaska Airlines flight I was on the flight attendants were using big jugs of bottled water for just about everything.
Anonymous Tik Toker “Kevin” is full of crap in every one of his speculations. The tanks are chemically cleaned on a more than needed basis and pots are emptied in the galley sink.
United Airlines uses Illys coffee and by contract even has an extra water filtration system for the coffee makers.
Pro Tip: Coffee from the aft galley always tastes better.

I don’t consume anything the airlines provide. I buy my own bottled water after security and bring a snack.

Coffee, tea or me?
Choose coffee!
I quit flying in July 1996, right after TWA800 was shot down, over Long Island.
If I can’t drive there, I don’t need to go there.
Doesn’t sound much different than the Navy coffee I got on midwatch.
