I wouldn’t have thought of Awful House as anything but a national chain with locations in almost half the states. Lots of regional barbecue joints they could have picked in Texas. And for California, they went with an international chain instead of a regional chain like In-n-Out. And Jersey Mike’s? What IS their definition of Regional?

Braum’s works, as does Whataburger, although maybe it should be under Illinois with Williams Chicken giving it a run in Texas. Or any of several regional Taco chains. Torchy’s would qualify; Fuzzy’s may have too big of a footprint to be Regional, but not by that site’s definition.

Yeah, I’ve been there. Hillsborough Street, right?

Maybe, but why would they be using Hatch(NM)peppers when they have a wonderful supply right there called Pueblo(CO) green chilies? Doesn’t mean much but I’ve never heard of the joint.

If I opened the bag and saw that, I’d toss it right into the trash

I make a decision on a roadside joint based on the workers at least 50% of the time. Call it intuition.

Louisiana Fried Chicken is a small chain in Southern California which features spicy fried chicken with a thick, crunchy crust. I like it better than Popeye's and much better than KFC. They are mostly located in or near South-Central Los Angeles.

BBQ Chicken (BBQ doesn't stand for "barbecue") is a chain of Korean fast-food restaurants that specialize in spicy fried chicken. I believe the chain in headquartered in Korea, but it is rapidly expanding in Southern California.

When it comes to burgers, I like Tommy’s in Southern California, which is famous for its chile cheeseburgers. In Northern California, I like the burgers at Nation’s Giant, a small chain.

Choice of Taco Time in Washington is a joke. By far and large the most popular local Fast Food is Dicks. A few years ago Dicks announced they were expanding, and cities were begging for Dicks to choose their city.

If you catch Bar-B-Cutie on the days they do roast beef you’ll know nirvana. I haven’t seen one in a long while so don’t even know if they still exist.

Saw a joke where a guy wanted to take his wife to an expensive restaurant but found the price of McFlurries out of his price range. These usurpers have to go.

Because NM chilies are the best. Hatch gets all the name recognition, but I get mine from Lemitar.

Expanding...begging for Dicks...

Great stuff there Dustin but you should skedaddle back to Tom and use your talents in Vegas as entertainment if the tables don't pay.

I am not positive, but I think it goes back to what was probably a company slogan decades ago when the business was in its infancy. On the road from Kingsport, TN to Gate City, VA, in past years when I used to travel that area, there was what must have been one of the original Pal’s locations that had posted “Pal’s Sudden Service.” I assume it was a promotion for how quickly they got your order to you.

I will say one thing for this chain: at any time when I went into one of the stores (or looked into the kitchen from the window of my vehicle when driving through, these were the cleanest fast food joints I had ever seen. And the staff were well-trained and polite. I never encountered any “attitudes.”

You’re going to get a double pastrami burger at Crown Burger in Salt Lake City.

Went to the next article there and it was the best fried chicken in each state. For Ohio they have: Ohio: Boomtown Biscuits & Whiskey - Cincinnati. Only the restaurant is across the river in Kentucky. I don’t trust them.
