Happy New Year.
I think Rod Stewart had the best version of Tim Hardin’s “Reason to Believe.”
We sang “Hark the Herald Angels sing” this morning in Church. Because of “It’s a Wonderful Life” I always want to sing “Auld Lang Syne” immediately afterwards.
Great, thanks for posting. Love this!
He’s also got the best version of Dylan’s “Forever Young”. By far the best, and I’m not super Rod Stewart fan by any means, but some of this stuff he just owns it outright.
Rod Stewart’s early stuff was great (Maggie May; Reason to Believe; You Wear It Well).
Awesome! Thanks for posting that.
Love the ending when the cameraman goes outside to see the pipers on the stairs and the fireworks exploding. Very cool.
What an enchanting evening at the castle that must have been.
“He’s also got the best version of Dylan’s “Forever Young”.”
Agreed! I LOVE his version of “Forever Young.” And I love the wonderful message in the sone as well. His version is so heartfelt.
I especially like his version of “People Get Ready” with the late Jeff Beck.
Also “I Ain’t Superstitious” with Jeff Beck’s band, prominently featured in the movie “Casino”.
Happy Hogmanay!
Excellent!
Thanks.
