In the past few minutes I’ve read (on X) that we are bombing Yemen, Iran is attacking U.S. forces in Iraq, and Texas has just gone just short of war with the federal government. It’s going to be a long year.

Leave them alone. It's not our job to protect foreign commercial shipping at the expense of U.S. taxpayers -- especially when you consider that almost the entire global shipping industry has left the U.S. and now flags its vessels in foreign countries to avoid U.S. taxes and regulations.
