Yeah, the cold will kill you a LOT quicker. No wonder the ‘World Elites Forum” NEEDS to put a stop to warming. Between manufactured illness and cold they’ll be able to reach their goal of reducing the world wide polluters, uh, population down to the 500+/- million the so desire. Hey wef.....🖕

“...Buffalo, New York, Chicago, New York City, Boston, and Detroit — now no longer experience two-to-three weeks’ worth of freezing nights each year.”

The weather must have moved to Texas too, Dallas nights are in the low 20s all weekend, last weekend also, 22 at 9am Sat.

--- "Get your science right here at CNN....from a journalism major."

Why not? We get so much of of war reporting and analysis from journalism majors. And we get so much of our mRNA marketing from journalism majors. Not to mention the RAND Corporation's many journalism majors analyzing geopolitics. Why, if it weren't for journalism majors, there would be no journalism majors to fire, when the time comes. < s a r c >

We’ve been in the high teens, low twenties overnight in SE Alabama. This is unheard of around here. Pipes bursting everywhere as this area didn’t build with hard freezes in mind.

Got family in AL telling me exactly the same, and they're retired, not feeling the inclination to adjust, deal with busted pipes, power outages and the next tornado. They're in Birmingham, it's always something, but this is ridiculous. They've been there near 20 years. Winter now still has February to mess with them and they are thinking to head south...but haven't forgotten the hurricane that nearly swallowed their beach house. If SE AL is what you say, I better give them a call and try to coax them back to PA.

I've got plumbing crises myself but no floods, twisters or blackouts.

It's been low temp for a week now and today is to be 20 degrees at best. Several inches of snow on the ground. At least three close neighbors too old to shovel or plumb. To them, CNN's "7 degrees warmer" can't happen soon enough!

They seem to be oblivious to what’s known as the “urban heat island effect”. As the cities grow, the temperature readings rise more than the surrounding rural areas due to absorption of sunlight by concrete and asphalt, not to mention the human-made heat sources for warmth in winter.

Note that the more populated Eastern parts of the nation show greater increases in winter temperature compared with the Western part, in alignment with the population density.

The question becomes, what is the geographical distribution of thermometers used to gather this data?

In 1836 a massive snow storm fell on the Mexican troops on their way to the Alamo at San Antonio.

Must have been proof of Glo-Bull Warming back then. Oh wait! That was the Coming Ice age! Or was it just Climate Change?

Meh- they don’t care- facts are irrelevant to them. Their motto is “say it enough times and it (whatever lie they are peddling at the time) becomes “the new truth”, and when facts dispute ehat they says, just point to the “consensus of scientists” (which really isn’t a consensus, but a carefully selected mob of group-think indoctrinated tools), and say “science proves... (fill in the blank)

Marxist tyrants love to force people to beleive the most insane things, and th3 more insane, the better they like it. It proves that even rediculous agendas can be forced on the gullible until it becomes their “New Truth”.

——Theodore Dalrymple———

“In my study of communist societies, I came to the conclusion that
the purpose of communist propaganda was not to persuade or convince, not
to inform, but to humiliate; and therefore, the less it corresponded to
reality the better.

When people are forced to remain silent when they
are being told the most obvious lies, or even worse when they are forced
to repeat the lies themselves, they lose once and for all their sense
of probity. To assent to obvious lies is...in some small way to become
evil oneself.

One’s standing to resist anything is thus eroded, and even
destroyed. A society of emasculated liars is easy to control. I think
if you examine political correctness, it has the same effect and is
intended to.”

Classical “cherry picked” data. Weather has cycles including in the decade timeframe. The 1930s was a very warm decade still holding many high temperature records. The 1940s was cold, 1950s warmer, 1960s stable to cool, 1970s cold. Why didn’t they compare using the 1950s as the baseline, or the 1930s or the 1980s?

LOL because it would not show the fake story they are claiming is true. And it is not.

The 1930s were really hot. That’s Dust Bowl weather.

My aunt was a baby then and my grandparents would drive her around in the car with the top down (cars and houses didn’t have air conditioning) in the evening to cool her off. Otherwise she wouldn’t sleep.

I guess I was reading my thermometer wrong when it said -33 degrees F.

Glad CNN could tell me what is real vs my eyes playing tricks on me...

Where’s my BS detector?

Never mind - don’t need it for this drivel. Let’s put the thermometer in the middle of a concrete jungle, between poorly-insulated buildings so that it can give the highest false reading possible. Then claim it’s getting warmer.

I woke up Wednesday to a balmy 5 degrees F, and the people up on the mountain saw negative temperatures. While that isn’t terribly cold, I will note that this is Southeast Tennessee, not southeast Ohio.

I have been snowed in here in Knoxville, Tennessee for almost a full week. This is the SOUTH. We usually get 2 light dustings a year and the snow is gone in 2 days. This artic blast of near zero nightly lows has gone on for almost a week. I can’t get to the store and milk for the coffee is at critically low levels.

The hoax is a hoax. It is pure BS.
