First decent snow we have had in two years. Knew it was coming I bought my brother a snow blower three years ago.

I’m surprised they didn’t welcome illegals to landscape their property and dust their many rooms.

Today looks like t-shirt and shorts weather for all of you in the Mid-West and South!/

Well, not to put too fine a point on it, but, the folks I see running around in ME with shorts on are NY/NJ types who spend all of five seconds running from their Auidis to the gym or yogurt emporium. Net email people who spend time outdoors are dressed in Remy’s cheapest and warmest.

ROTFLMAO!!!

Right here in West Knox County Tennessee I’ve had 12 inches or more of snow, it’s been down to below zero, and I haven’t been able to get any deliveries for the last six days. There is still a coat of ice on my driveway, people are having a hard time driving, and this is been the coldest, hardest Witter I’ve ever seen here in the last 36 years. Indeed, the last six days have been just about as cold and hard as winters were in Milwaukee, where I lived before moving here. I wonder where CNN went to discover all the wonderfully warm cities.

My area falls under the ocean influence category, just up the chesapeake bay a bit. Winters get chilly but not frigid, we’ve had a few nasty winter northerlies blow through usually one maybe two per winter. Normally it’s just a high pressure front moving offshore. Even though the vast majority of people in this area on the Seaboard use heat pumps I think we’re just north of efficient pump territory.

I have noticed that perhaps starting in South Carolina is where heat pumps become really effective. In order to balance out that Mid Winter ineffectiveness of our “Florida pumps” we put portable oil radiators in a couple of rooms just to make them nice and cozy.

Stay warm.

It was 20 deg in Pensacola Wednesday morning. But the climate change alarmists will ignore this data because it falls outside of the norm.

The idea was that many traditional weather stations have become located in heat islands and giving false readings or in different conditions than they had in unaffected locations. The climate change alarmists agreed that was possible if not exactly so and agreed that new stations would be built away from urban centers and in locations not impacted by man-made structural influences, places like wilderness areas our far far out in the country. They would then compare the measurements of these newly located stations to historical records. It appears they forgot about that agreement.

Spent a couple hours this morning cleaning up downed branches from recent winds, dragging the big ones through snow to burn pile. It was 13 degrees. It’s 16 now... should have waited and done it now that it has warmed up 🙄

Temps in the mid 20’s to low 30’s here at night, warming up to a POSITIVELY TROPICAL mid 30’s during the day.

But of course I also have a good El Nino off the coast of my farm this year.

Usually night time temps are mid to low teens and day time temp get to mid twenties this time of year.

Personally I love this TEMPORARY AREA WARMING!
