The 365m-long (1,197 ft) Icon of the Seas has 20 decks, and can house a maximum of 7,600 passengers on board. It is owned by Royal Caribbean Group.
The vessel is going on a seven-day island-hopping voyage in the tropics.
But environmentalists warn that the liquefied natural gas-powered ship will leak harmful methane into the air.

Environmentalists warn? These people are insufferable. The ship looks amazing.

I wouldn’t ride on it if it has 7600 people. The decks will be full.
It’s not like the Love Boat.

No, it isn’t the Love Boat. It is 3 times bigger but carries only 2.5 times as many passengers.
I have been on the next smaller class of ships. They don’t feel that crowded except at the buffet during breakfast. Much less crowed than Carnival ships.

Problem is you could stroll the ship from stem to stern and never know you’re at sea.

I thought cruises were basically the same. As long as you got room to breath and aren’t trying to share the deck with a 1000 people.
I’d be inclined to stay in my cabin, in which case I’m as well off enough to stay in a motel with an Ihop across the street.

That may be longer than the Lincoln or Vinson. Not as useful though.

Passengers should pay a methane tax. Make the check out to John Kerry. Don’t like it? Impound the ship and litigate it till after the election.

Joe doesnt like LNG but the big new ships use it
Carnivals new ships Mardi Gras, Celebration and Jubilee all run on it...
A ship can go about 2 weeks before it needs refueling...
Miami, Port Canaveral and Galveston have terminals to refuel those ships ...

It looks like a ship begging to sink!

Too bad they didn’t build it with coal-fired engines.

With crew members, the total passenger count is 9,740. Then, imagine 180 of these docking in our ports to unload invaders from all over the world. That’s what Biden has done in a single year.
