COVID-19: Fast-Spreading JN.1 Variant Now Accounts For 86 Percent Of US Cases

JN. 1, a highly contagious off-shoot of the Omicron strain, now makes up around 86 percent of COVID cases in the United States after accounting for less than 5 percent of infections nationally in early November, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports.

It's also the most dominant across the globe.

JN.1 cases in the US have doubled over the last month.

In late December, it caused 44 percent of cases in the US, after making up around 22 percent of infections in the middle of December.

That's around the time the World Health Organization (WHO) declared JN.1 to be "a variant of interest."

"Based on its genetic features, JN.1 may possess some antigenic advantage evading previous immunity," the WHO said. "While there is a rapid increase in JN.1 infections, and likely increase in cases, available limited evidence does not suggest that the associated disease severity is higher as compared to other circulating variants."

JN.1 was first identified in late August.

According to the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health, "The increase in the number of cases caused by JN.1 corresponds to an overall increase in COVID-19 cases.

"Symptoms of JN.1 infection are very similar to those of previous omicron variants, and it doesn’t seem to cause more severe disease, either."

No, that has never worked from day one.

70% of 65+ people have high blood pressure. That’s a comorbidity in the listings. The number one comorbidity on the list over the multiple years was Dementia. Number one. The most common — mostly because the virus was killing the old and that’s where you see dementia, in the very old.

Point being, comorbidities was never the issue. Old was the issue. Nearly all old have a comorbidity. No point in mentioning it. Just focus on age, because that is what told the tale.

Comorbidites was the issue as it was comgess3d that the vast majority of people who died had “4 or more comorbidities”... not my words, but words from the medical community its itself. Even young people with “4 or more comorbidites” were much more likely to die if they caught covid- while its true the elderly were the most vulnerable, they too had “4 or more comorbidites as opposed to the elderly who caught covid but survived because they didn’t have several comorbidities

Dr. Bill Gates and his followers have come up with an excellent plan to save the Earth. As you know from the many speeches and actions by our beloved President fighting climate change, we only have a few years to reverse the rapid rise of CO2 which will make the Earth uninhabitable once it rises to high enough levels.

The CDC (January 18, 2024) says they are saving lives, protecting people 24/7. Please comply to protect your grandma and to save Earth. Remember, only a few of the injected are now dying. The New Zealand data illegally released indicated one per one death per thousand injections. A said “a comorbidity” to make the point of how common hypertension is. That link just posted says the typical 65+ yr old is taking 5 or 6 pills a day. Most of those will be for a comorbidity. Don’t focus on “a”. Focus on 5 or 6.

The point is the virus killed old people. Period. Lots and lots of old people. And old people have lots and lots of pre-existing health problems, most of which will qualify as a comorbidity.

The virus in an old person was killing. Old people have those other health issues. I found a list of those (not in cases, in deaths) and Dementia was number 1. Then hypertension, diabetes, heart disease. All diseases of the old.

The virus found weak people to kill. Weak because of age and all things associated with age.

There was a brief time when people were trying to make the case that the Covid dead brought it on themselves by being fat. Obesity was indeed on the list I found, but it did not make the top 5.

Factoid, old people have digestive systems that weaken, just like the rest of their body. Obesity in the old is less common than in the young not because they die off earlier — because they can’t process the food into fat.

Anyway, the most powerful predisposing factor for a Covid death was age. Everything else was largely happenstance, though for sure the tiny % of very old who have no hypertension, diabetes or dementia probably did survive longer. It’s just that this is a tiny number.
