A prominent North Carolina LGBTQ advocacy group welcomed a known-convicted pedophile to their gala - despite knowing about his criminal past.
Chad Turner, 45, was one of the attendees at the February 10 Human Right Campaign annual event, called 'Without Exception,' that was sponsored by Bank of America.
HRC Press Secretary Brandon Wolf and Democrat State Senator Lisa Grafstein both spoke at the dinner that was held at the Le Meridien Charlotte. Turner was previously awarded an honor by the HRC, who refused to say at the time whether they knew of his child abuser past, Reduxx reported.
Turner, a former youth minister, was accused by three boys of sexual abuse in 1998 when he was 20 or 21 years old. The victim he was convicted of attacking was 14 and woke up to find the predator fondling his genitals.
He served only two years of a 10-year sentence for committing the lewd acts on a minor under the age of 16. After his parole, he was ordered to enroll in North Carolina's sex offender registry.
Despite his criminal past, Turner, who is the Chief Executive Officer at the Carolina LGBT + Chamber of Commerce, has managed to become a prominent member of the Charlotte LGBTQ advocacy community.

They gave him a “prestigious award.” Awards, medals, and honors are more often than not to bring attention to the giver, rather than the receiver. They are often signs of political support. Think of Obama’s Nobel Prize. When he was told he asked, “what for?” Because he was black and president. Or, rather, because he wasn’t white. Think of the scholarship awards to President Clinton. Would he have gotten them if he’d been a Republican? Almost certainly not. We live in a world where organizations promote themselves by giving awards. The fact they gave an award to this POS tells us exactly who they are trying to attract and manipulate. It’s similar to the way Islam works. An Imam with no followers is just a guy on a streetcorner. An Imam with a thousand followers can manipulate whole countries to do his will. Same thing for organizations who give out “prestigious awards.”
That’s not all it’s been about, but that’s the end goal.

My bil who served in the Marine Corps, pre-woke era, tells me the one redeeming quality these people, err, things, have is that they aren’t pro-creating. So in a generation or so they’ll all be dead. I kind of like that idea. That lifestyle is not what the Creator intended. Off my soap box now.
