The Yellowstone magma chamber extends far west under Idaho. This quake was over part of the chamber.
I hope it blows half the USA up. We deserve it but can it start in California maybe SanFrancisco?

Where is that picture of the dude from cheers at Yellowstone. Won’t happen in my lifetime. I am going to be forced to go through this hell they call the world. All of it. Sucks but that’s how I see it.

I’ve never experienced an earthquake in my lifetime. Probably an unsettling experience:)

If you’re interested in what’s going on, geologically speaking, in Iceland, the prof also has some great videos and livestreams on that, too.
Check your scales. The quake was north of the projected chamber and only 8.9 Km (about 5 miles deep). If it were related to magma movement, the quake would be far, far deeper.
