The end of apartheid lead to a great fall in the murder rate. It has not returned to the apartheid era rate yet but it is heading in that direction.
For Comparison in 2020 the US murder rate per 100,000 was around 6. In South Africa the African National Congress (ANC), a black communist organization, waged a terrorist war against Apartheid. After the government handed power to the ANC the murder rate fell until the ANC destroyed the economy and then the crime became rampant and the murder rate began to rise again.
Apartheid hasn't ended.It's against the "Whites" now.

Once the richest country in Africa; now, they can't keep the power on more than 12 hours a day; and in some communities, the water is making people sick.
With all these great advancements "Post Apartheid"; South Africa has become a proud member of "BRICS".
