EVs fail because battery technology isn’t there yet and the Grid can’t handle the load.
Aside from the EVs general unreliability, I’ve heard that most wrecking yards won’t take EVs because of their environmentally toxic components and their propensity to catch fire. Insurance companies for both auto and home don’t want anything to do with them either for the same reasons.
