i love his strong voice - but a leader needs to be able to find areas where both sides can meet without violating principles. i’d rather have him speaking out. not sure this job is right for his skillset. but maybe he has a history in this area that i am not aware of.

I’ve been saying, Josh Hawley or Rand Paul. These are the courageous lions in the Senate.

If Rand isn’t the answer because he’s not a compromiser, how about Coach Tuberville? He’s obviously a leader and has already shown he isn’t afraid of the Inside the Beltway types. Imagine someone in that role whose strategy was to win for us not for the GOPe.

Really? Meet in the middle? What democrat today will meet anywhere near the middle?

Look, it’s going to be Cornyn or Thune - take your pick. They don’t represent us but at least we know it. A Paul or a Hawley would have to transform into some sort of “deliberative moderate” to stay in the job, and that wouldn’t do what’s left of conservatism much good.

No Congressional leader can be selected without the approval of the US Chamber of Commerce.

That immediately eliminates anyone from outside Mitch’s circle of influence.

Perhaps he is saying Republicans of both sides meet in the middle of their caucus which is often where a party leader has to be.

i didn’t say meet ‘in the middle.’ i said on common ground where principles are not sacrificed. you’re right that Dems would often have the issue despite a solution being within reach. that was the case on Israel funding bill where many would normally vote for it - but D’s mainly did not in order to use Israel/Ukraine bill

The Senate needs a real leader instead of dust mite rinos like Cornyn.

If Rand isn’t the answer because he’s not a compromiser...

The st00pit in that sentence - it hurts.

Compromisers are exactly how we got here. If we "compromise" any further with the Deep State and global communists we will die.

Time to smash or die.

Agree. It’s time to stop trying to meet in the middle bc the middle to liberals is far left. We need to go hard right to get back to the middle

What you don’t understand is no democrat is allowed to think for themselves. They are captives of the far left.

For the record, I didn’t say that and no one here wants that kind of compromiser. I’m paraphrasing the idea that we’re better off with Senator Paul going full force on things than finding common ground which eventually the leader role has to do. That’s how I hit on Coach Tuberville who is used to finding ways to get people who are different to work together while still maintaining control and keeping them moving toward the goal of WINNING. I should’ve added, although it should be obvious, that a head football coach knows how to take advantage of strong players and Senator Paul with his intellect and clear set of principles is one of, if not our strongest senator.
