Hollywood union leaders warned of the possibility of another strike this summer if the studios cannot reach a deal before crew contracts expire on July 31.
Speaking to a rally of more than 2,000 crew members on Sunday at Woodley Park in Encino, Sean O’Brien, the president of the International Brotherhood of the Teamsters, said the unions should commit to withhold their labor — and not grant an extension — if a deal is not agreed by the deadline.
“We are not afraid to strike,” O’Brien said. “If these greedy corporations — whether it’s Amazon, Netflix, Sony… Disney — if they choose not to reward our members, they are putting themselves on strike. We will put them on their back, on their knees, begging for mercy.”

That’s what I figured.
But I do think the Borg is three quarters of the problem, and gatekeeping unions are the remainder.
It’s hard for the DEI commissars to interfere too much with a writer-director team of one.
Take a look at Netflix’s last earning statement and balance sheet. They earned quite a bit. They are doing just fine and will survive as they have pivoted as far costs and content are concerned.
Disney is going to shuffle around all kind of things to make Disney + look profitable but it will be an illusion.
Paramount will be sold .
Warner has just green lighted a new Superman Movie with a production price tag of $363 million and no one knows a thing about what it is about, but it will start shooting in Ohio according the huge tax credit they got there.
