Man brought his service duck to World's Largest Buc-ee's. Now he's banned from all stores for life.

A man has been banned from all Buc-ee’s locations for life after bringing his “service duck” along for a jaunt around the store.

Circus performer Justin Wood and his online celebrity duck Wrinkle filmed their latest adventure at the world’s largest Buc-ee’s in Sevierville, Tennessee.

A circus performer captured a video of the moments when he was allegedly banned from Buc-ee's for life for bringing his service duck inside.

The duo were allowed to go on their way once Wood presents IDs proving Wrinkle is a service animal, but shortly after another employee approaches.

“Even if it’s considered a service animal, you have to be able to contain it, and it can fly out,” the employee says in the video, gesturing to the stroller.

After buying water bottles and greeting a few customers, Wood and Wrinkle leave the store only to be confronted by police notifying the pair that they’re banned from all Buc-ee’s locations for life.

“If you’re caught on property and everything you’ll be charged with trespassing,” the officer tells him.

Wood was also asked to purchase a toy that Wrinkle was seen biting inside the store, and he gave the store $50 to cover the cost.

“She did nothing but make everybody happy in there,” Wood said in the video. Indeed, even the officer who gave him the news of the ban wanted to learn more about the duck. At one point, he even feeds Wrinkle a treat.

The service animal policy on the Buc-ee’s website states: “The Health Code prohibits live animals, including dogs, where food could potentially be contaminated. There are exceptions, however, for service animals.”

Buc-ee’s did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

I side with Buc-ee’s. They have rules for reasons and need to enforce them if they don’t want suits and a slide in quality of services and facilities.

Not sure I’d ban the guy “for life.” Just don’t bring your pets into their establishments.

“Did it crap all over the place?”

That’s the biggest problem with most exotic pets. They can’t be easily box trained.

Other than guide dogs for blind folks, this “service animal” stuff is BS. Once when I was working as a docent at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library, we were warned that a guest with two pit bull “service dogs” was making his way through the museum and that there was nothing we could do about it. When I saw them approaching, I just left my station and went elsewhere until they passed through.

He needs to move in with his duck at the zoo. The duck probably needs some therapy from other ducks.

I’m on the side of Bucees here. Ducks are feces factories and the thought of one strolling through food prep areas ranks right up there with the woman I saw plop her diapered get on the table at a pizza place near Emory and proceed to change a big number 2 filled diaper. I didn’t see anyone saying anything to her so I crossed that restaurant off my list forever. That was in the mid 80s and I never went back.

And I suspect the duck was not a valid service animal. Lots of a$$holes started bringing their “emotional support animals” on airlines a few years ago I was on a flight where some little ankle biter no doubt some a-hole’s “emotional support animal” ran down the isle and pissed on the floor a couple of seats ahead of me (Southwest).

If those dogs were creating a disturbance, then yeah. Have Security escort them off the property.

Of course they would be sure for violating all sorts of ADA laws.

Would not surprise me if this isn’t the first establishment he has been banned from entering.

I think emotional support animals are a scam. On an airline someone had a peacock and it crapped all over..

He should have brought his Service Beaver.

That is funny...

It won't be the largest soon... Buc-Ee's is building the largest in Ocala FL.

Dogs can hold it. Cats can hold it. Even horses can be trained to hold it and cows can be trained only to go in appropriate locations.

Bird either can or will not. Birds are jerks.

I would not want to eat in a location where a duck has pooped.

Tere is open food all over the place. This was a stunt. He should not go back to Bucees again. I have ducks, they are messy.

Dogs and miniature horses are the only animals that can be certified as service animals. Miniature horse service animals can be used by persons with dog severe allergies — but they have additional restrictions — generally they must be as well trained/behaved as dog service animals.

Emotional support animals are not a thing.
