Saw him perform in the mid-70’s. Sacramento Memorial auditorium. 10th row seat. He was awful. Got so loud people were covering their ears. Played his guitar with what looked like a screwdriver. On top of that up close he was ugly.

Saw Rainbow and Gamma in a small theater (second row seats) back in 1979...Ritchie Blackmore and Ronnie Montrose on the same bill...guitar nirvana!

Saw Sammy Hagar in concert two summers ago. I had forgotten that Sammy worked with Montrose at the start. He opened with Rock Candy. It was such a pleasant surprise.
