We haven’t even gotten to the 2010 elections yet.
Let’s concentrate on making gains in Congress first.

true...let's concentrate on 2010 mid-term(s).

U.S. Rep. Thad McCotter, (R) MI

U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan, (R) WI

Yes, I forgot about Ryan, he's solid. I was initially quite interested in McCotter, since he came across as a solid fiscal conservative of the Austrian stripe. BUT, he also voted (along with the rest of the Michigan delegation) for a lot of the TARP/bailout stuff.

Prior to his votes on the auto bailout, (which I understood, given his district) I had taken issue with his vote in favor of increasing the minimum wage.

I still like him very much. He's smart, articulate and feisty. The democrats have targeted his seat, but recent events may have made him a lot less vunerable. :)

Many of us former Fredheads back Palin.

It's a shame he didn't get more traction, with the media building up Huckafraud to further fracture the base, and no name losers like Hunter and Paul doing the same.

sorry for jumping into this so late.

first of all, FredPAC is alive and well and will be supporting real conservatives in the 2010 election while garnering Fred activist support. Second, and sooo important is that Fred has a 2 hour daily format to get his message out along with a website with plenty of podcast download. This consititutes not retirement, but an on-going campaign/PR machine, the power of which should not be overlooked. I hardly think you have heard the last of Fred in US politics.

it would be interesting to hear from Fred’s campaign volunteers in Iowa and South Carolina. Is everyone else all talk and no action?

George H. W. Bush was picked by Reagan (after Ford turned him down). What does that prove about Reagan or Bush?

WHAT IS HUSTLE
Hustle is doing something that everyone is certain can’t be done.
Hustle is shoe leather, elbow grease, sweat and missing lunches.
Hustle is doing something more for the customer than the other guy is doing.
Hustle is believing in yourself and the business you’re in.
Hustle is the sheer joy of winning.
Hustle is being the sorest loser in town.
Hustle is hating to take vacation because you might miss a piece of the action.
Hustle is working smarter, not harder.
Hustle is heaven if you’re a hustler.
Hustle is hell if you’re not.
