Most people here don't like Trump because he's what I call a real New Yorker. A man who doesn't mess around and tells it like he sees it. He says it in a New York accent and he says it fast. People are so used to the practiced public speaking style of the trained politician they mistake Trump's style as untrustworthy.
Look up the Wollman rink in Central Park. Trump said he could build it faster and for less money than city could. He did. And the rink was turned from an eyesore into a beautiful corner of Central Park.
Trump has a history of keeping his promises more often than not. I trust him when he says he will stop illegal immigration, fix trade, and grow the economy. He does those three things I can handle whatever else the left wants to throw at me. He doesn't he's a 4 year President.
It is not so much that people around here do not like Trump. His courage is refreshing. The problem is that he is not a social conservative. That matters to me.
Trump would be better than a rehashed Bush or a faiding lesbian Clinton—He would be better than Biden or Obama. He would be colorful and maybe get things done. He might—dare I say it—be another Reagan!!!
Your question is illogical. Business owners do not donate based on ideology. I must assume you have never owned a large business.
I agree Trump is not a social conservative on par with Huckabee. However he is as good or better social conservative than most other candidates who will be invited to the first debate in August. He said on TV interviews he is for traditional marriage and pro-life.
So if it comes to choosing between Trump & Bush, or Trump & Hillary, I am voting for Trump. My tag line is my priority at this stage. Without stopping the flow of illegals as top priority, social conservatism will die a permanent death with democrats in majority for ever.
Why? There are plenty of Conservatives in America to write in and if it’s Trump vs. Hillary I’ll be voting for one of them.
I will listen to what he has to say on those issues. They are my primary issues and frankly nothing trumps (pun unintended) them on my list of priorities.
