First off I am not really interested in what a Thug who posted to me to “stay out of America” because I do not support Donald Trump, thinks.

Ted's my number two choice for Prez, so it kills me to see him in this pickle.
In my heart, I believe him to bear 100% allegiance to our flag, and to our country alone - no other. The Framers inserted the NBC clause into the Constitution to restrict the office of President to men of exactly that description. The best way they knew how at the time, was to restrict the office to only those who were born in this country, to two citizen parents.
Ted meets the loyalty test, but the circumstance of his birth disqualifies him, per the strictest understanding of the NBC clause.
It truly sucks, but that's the truth.
Second of all, you political naif, the term "backroom boys" refers to the guys whom most don't know about who run political campaigns, are the consultants to pols, and/or those who used to be the BIG GUNS in each political party who once ran things. When FR began, almost EVERYONE had VERY clever political nics. Some included variations of the Clintons' names, some other political things. I'm just calmly discussing the reality of the situation, and attempting to get you to come to grips with how serious this really is.
The issue didn't gain the required traction in 2008 because the entire establishment was dead set on ignoring Obama's obvious disqualifications, and was hell bent on destroying anyone who dared treat it as the constitutional crisis it actually was. It served their nefarious purposes to do so.
The last seven years of American history has proven how prescient the Framers were to insert the NBC clause into our Constitution.
This time's different. It now serves the leftist Uniparty's interests to take up the issue, in order to deny the office to a man they view as a real threat to their continued existence. Never mind the actual merits of the case. They'll try to take Ted down with this, even if it means retroactively disqualifying Obama. I think they'll risk it.
Especially as, when Cruz took out the loan, he was merely running for Senator...and was a serious underdog at that.

And recall the Goldman-Sachs "margin loan" occurred almost three years before the vote in question -- when Cruz was running for the Senate and he was an underdog.
Plus, you write a checkk for a margin loan to yourself -- against your own account -- you don't need anybody else's approval or signature. Fact is, Goldman-Sachs couldn't have stopped Cruz from taking out the loan.

As to Ted's issue with the NBC thing, you can giggle over it if you like, but rest assured that Ted and his advisers aren't. This is serious business, and I'll bet they're working overtime right now to deal with it.
That is where you don’t know what you are talking about. This loan was basically a draw against his investment account. This was very similar to when people draw cash against their credit card - except in his case his money in his investment account which the bank controlled was the collateral so the bank had no way of losing. Basically this was a way of using his investments without having to liquidate them.
