I thought it was delegates. Can't go running back to everything I tried to read, but one of the 3 is all or none with delegates. If they can split the delegates, most I read the others (Cruz and Rubio) are not likely to come into play. Anything can happen.

But 8 states, the right ones, could produce the requisite # of delegates.

I had to go back, didn't read that article, so skimmed it. The magic # is 1237 delegates to get the nomination. Ohio and Florida are winner-take-all.

The rest is too much for tonight. Spent most of my brainpower such as it is on an Apple discussion. Think I have a pretty good handle on that.

There is a must win eight state rule since 2012.

So unless Rubio or Cruz can win eight, neither has a chance to win a brokered convention.
