The important, but overshadowed, Missouri presidential primary is Tuesday.
It's overshadowed by the big contests in Ohio and Florida and because of the five states voting that day, it's the smallest prize in terms of delegates.
But it's important nonetheless as the oh-so-competitive primary campaigns rage across the nation.
And, hey, the candidates are competing here, which means they consider it worth winning.
So who will the battle of Missouri? Here's a series of predictions:
Dave Helling, Kansas City Star political writer:
Republicans: Ted Cruz. "Missouri liked Santorum, Akin, and almost picked Huckabee. And the suburbs may be scared of Trump. And Cruz has Jeff Roe (the former Missouri political consultant who is the Texas senator's campaign manager)."
Democrats: Hillary Clinton. "Sanders has a good argument on trade. But she's got the cities, and rural areas aren't ready for a socialist."(continued)

That’s odd because her job at Goldman-Sachs is as a division manager in Houston. That is a heck of a commute from where she lives in New York.
I live in Missouri. This has been the quietest campaign season in my memory. NO campaign signs in my neck of the woods for anybody but school board members... Not even state reps or US Congress reps... I have NO clue how this state will go. This state is pretty much evenly divided with liberals, republicans and so called independents.... I see the independents going for Trump... They generally do not like to be preached to, as in the loss of Akin for senate a few years back.
I did see a month or so back one old white guy with a Bernie Sanders bumper sticker in Overland Park, KS...
Well then. First Lady for Cruz could be Ruby O?

Open primary favors Trump. Dirty trickster Roe is from Missouri so that favors Cruz.
I wont call a winner but I will say delegate wise it wont be much difference
Wow. I just heard that there is a good chance of some storms in MO and IL on Tuesday. That might decrease turnout for the lukewarm Kasich voters and the blue-hair Cruz supporters.
There is not a shred of evidence of any such thing.

I live south of KCMO and I have not saw one Cruz sign anywhere. I think Cruz has money problems, or else there is a need to NOT bring the limelight on Roe.
But has he wanted to sleep with his daughter and announced it on national TV more than once.
And what about his multiple wives and his affairs while he was still married to #1, #2 and still #3?
And by the way all of this is proven and admitted to by Trump so would he choose his daughter or one of his mistresses as First Lady?

Tueaday will show clearly which version of the events in Chicago reached the voting public: the truth about MoveOn.org and Ted and Marco’s disgraceful whitewashing of violent communist agitators....or the mainstream media and GOPe (Cruz, Rubio, Kasich and Carly) message that Trump brought it all on himself.

The problme with you Cuzbots is that you have no sense of humor. Trump was joking about his daughter. He didn’t mean a word of it, but, apparently, you think so. IT seems that there is not one ounce of humor in the Cruz campaign or his followers. You have not one shred of evidence that Trump cheated on Melania. She would leave him in a heartbeat if that happened. She doesn’t need his money, she is wealthy in her own right. But, carry on with your delusions and humorless life. Granted, I don’t find it funny, however, I have some male cousins who I think are hot - but, that doesn’t mean a thing, and neither did Trump mean a thing by it. Trump has taken the blame for his past marriage failures, so he was man enough to do that. He married Marla on the rebound - I think she was pregnant. He said it was a mistake. So, yeah, he is human and sins, but he wasn’t running for president then either. This with Cruz is in the here and now, and he IS running for president. Everyone thinks he is this great Christian man, but, as more and more comes out - he will be seen as the person he really is. Having said all of this - Trump isn’t responsible for what Cruz does - so to try and paint and deflect Ted’s sins is just wrong.
I haven't seen many signs either. A few Bernie signs and a few local contests.
I think Bernie will give her a run for the money here. But the Cruz / Trump contest .. Well no one is going to get over 50% statewide so the delegates will be split up. I would guess Cruz takes districts 2 and 7 and Trump takes the rest but we will see.
You may well be correct. Cruz's campaign though, has pretty much been to the choir... He is going to need those so called independents to win much.
