Free Republic Straw Poll (April 2016 Edition)
Free Republic | April 4, 2016 | 2ndDivisionVet

Posted on 04/04/2016 4:43:53 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

If you had to vote in your state primary/caucus today, knowing what you know now about the various declared and probable candidates, who would you vote for? Why? Who would you like to see as the running mate for your preferred candidate? If you could help staff your candidates cabinet and other top appointments, who would you choose? If you could recommend different congressional leaders than we have now, who would they be? And who would you like to see on the Supreme Court and why? And finally, feel free to donate to Free Republic.

Removing the weasel words, this is what Ted said.

But, at the end of the day in any campaign, responsibility starts at the top. And it is not beneficial when you have a presidential candidate like Donald Trump telling his supporters, “Punch that guy in the face.”

Another words, Trump brought on himself.

LOL

Ted is too cute by half.

You don't have a strong case that Cruz opposes the 1st amendment.

Are you trying to say that Trump bears no responsibility for his words?

Speaking of "not being beneficial" to discouraging violence, how about two well-known conservatives pretending to be "tough guys".  Not to mention Cruz's buddy Glenn Beck saying he would stab Trump many times.

You poor folks need someone to take you by the hand and explain things to you.

I don’t really have the time or the inclination.

Thanks for the opportunity though.

Somehow I have my doubts that the Cruz campaign put that particular mage out.

I will agree with you that Beck is a nut a lot of the time.

Trump remembers a time in America when a traitor to his country was executed by a firing squad.

In that same era, a man would punch a another guy in the face for insulting his wife.  And he would certainly sue a publisher -- or go to the publisher's office to punch him out -- for saying that he was playing around with other women besides his wife.

Perhaps there are times when a man should get violent -- and even lie -- to protect his own honor or the honor of his family or his country.

Finally, a man who professes to not promote violence shouldn't go on national TV and make a joke about running over someone with his car.

Yes, it's true.  I photoshopped the maple leaf on the pic and and merged it with the Dana Loesch image.

But check out the artist Sabo who made the original poster that Cruz was selling on his website.

Are you trying to say that Trump bears no responsibility for his words?

Are you trying to say that the two known cases of Trump supporters striking a provocateur -- out of the millions of people who have attended Trump rallies -- are at all comparable to Soros and Bernie having PAID and BUSED IN groups of agitators to provoke violence, scream in the faces of the legitimate rally goers, stomp on the flag and block the roadways, doorways and exits so that even medical personnel couldn't get by, and the marxist media who then characterized it all as Trump-endorsed or Trump-supporter violence?

Is that what you are trying to say?

No, never said that. DoughtyOne implied that Ted wasn’t consistent on the First Amendment and I didn’t agree with that statement.

You will only vote for a guy who said Hillary would make a great President and endorsed Bill De Blasio? How long have you been a Liberal?

I don’t vote for liars which is why Cruz is out of the question. Not to mention winning 10 contests. Not good enough. 37 percent of Republicans say they won’t vote for Cruz if he’s the nominee. I am in great company.
