Trump supporters turn on man who espouses neo-Nazi views at rally

RENO, Nevada (CNN) -- A man who said he was representing the "alt-right" and embraced the label of "neo-Nazi" was shouted down by Donald Trump supporters at a rally here Wednesday night.

Brady Garrett, 25, was holding up signs during the rally that said "Research Holocaust Revisionism" and "1488," the latter of which is a combination of numbers emblematic of Nazism and white supremacy. He was escorted out of the event by Trump security.

Talking to reporters after the rally, Garrett said the United States needs "to put European Americans first" and disparaged Zionists.

Garrett confirmed that he was a neo-Nazi and disputed facts about the Holocaust. When asked if he thinks espousing such views at a Trump rally could hurt the Republican nominee, he said, "No."

"We need to speak the truth," he said, adding that he doesn't "give a damn" about any of Trump's policies and only supports him because he's "anti-establishment."(continued)

Right. You betcha.

The amusing thing is that you could put a Mao t-shirt on and carry a sign about smashing the bourgeoisie and establishing a dictatorship of the proletariat and go over to a Hillary rally in some junior high school auditorium and be welcomed with open arms.

Clinton is beyond desperate.
I would check up on this guy.

But it’s good they shut him down at the rally.

It was. That's why there is something not right about this story.

Maybe the guy was a liberal plant.

These white supremacist neo-Nazi groups live in a little closed off thought bubble; they believe that they are on the political right and that the more moderate conservative movement will hail them as heroes once the communists are removed from power. They fail to realize that their anti-Semitic, anti-Israel stand automatically disqualifies them from participation, let alone influence.

Many in the progressive movement think that half of us are in this tiny fragment and that political leaders on the right just pretend not to sympathize. It has never occurred to the average progressive that the only people who actually stood up to Hitler were European conservatives.

As to the white supremacists and neo-Nazis, they usually have only high school education and got the basic idea drilled into them by their teachers at that level, that fascism is just a more extreme form of conservatism. Here again, no effort is made to examine whether fascism is really closer to the political left, from which it was hatched in Europe in its early stages.

I believe the support they espouse for Trump is genuine enough, they figure that Trump will be for the white man and against anyone else. This over-simplified world view is all they know, so they have to assess everything through that filter.

They will go away soon enough when they discover that a Trump administration is not just like they thought.

Read the link.

Why is it called nationalism an patriotism when everyone else wants or has their own country and it’s called Zionism in a derogatory way when Jews wanted one?

I’m definitely a Christian Zionist. It seems one can very much be a patriotic American AND a Zionist.

I wouldn’t even expect it in a high school election.

High school students are smarter than that even in our dumbed down public school system.

Stupid move by a dem plant. Dems have no clue what Christian Protestants believe to have tried to pull this off.

The fact they believe their own mindless propaganda they spout that Conservatives are Nazi's thinking this stunt a good idea is truly mindboggling!

The massive stupidity is 2 fold... 1st Nazi's stood for National Socialist....socialist like democrats(though they are now globalist not nationalist) and most Protestants denominations take the Bible as the Word of God! Jews are God's chosen people! Bless them, get blessings, curse them get cursed.

I'm pretty politically savvy, and I'd never heard of the term "alt-right" until Hillary blamed all of her woes on them.

I'd venture further and say that the so-called "alt-right" doesn't even call THEMSELVES that.

This guy is such a leftist tool that even the stupidest liberal wouldn't fall for such a plant.

BTW, will Trump get some credit for throwing out a neo-nazi sympathizer?

Hell, the liberals have tried to pin David Duke on Trump.

In this country, how many people cannot name the vice-president?

I doubt that very few people under 45 even know who David Duke is.

Or would care.

When asked what "alt-right" meant, the guy said "I dunno. You'll have to ask Hillary. She's the one who told me to say it."

I thought, at its most basic level, a Zionist is merely someone who supported the creation, and now existence of, Israel.

So yeah, no, you don’t gotta be a Jew by that criteria, and I thus consider myself a non Jew Zionist.

However, it helps if dismiss people by saying “Eh, meh” and send soup back for being too cold.
