At 100 Days, Trump Supporters In State Like What They See
The Hartford Courant ^ | April 27, 2017 | Russell Blair

One hundred days into his presidency, Donald Trump's supporters see a shrewd businessman who has roared into Washington, following through on campaign promises to cut government regulation, secure the border and be a fresh departure from business as usual.

But at the same time his backers acknowledge that Trump has had difficulty navigating his way through the quagmire of Congress — facing opposition from Democrats and Republicans — and leaving some signature pledges incomplete.

"He's in this to try to make this country a better place, to make things right," said state Rep. Tony D'Amelio of Waterbury, one of the first elected Republicans in the state to back Trump's candidacy. "I see him trying to fulfill all of his promises, but politics gets in the way."

Late in the presidential campaign Trump published a "contract" with voters that detailed a "100-day action plan to Make America Great Again." An analysis by CNN found Trump followed through with less than half of the items in the plan, and tried — and failed — to pass the only one of his six major legislative proposals he introduced, repealing and replacing the Affordable Care Act....

Remember when you played sports - there was the guy who would always do all kinds of head fakes when he got the ball and usually advanced or scored?

That's President Trump.

Rush said today that he knows members of Congress from both sides of the aisle that are laughing themselves silly at the prospect of President Trump building the wall. So President Trump has a lot of headwind with his policies.

President Trump hasn't even been in office 100 days and the media are harping on 'incomplete pledges.'

Note how the media have never mentioned one of Obama's biggest INCOMPLETE promises: to close GITMO.

I had a conversation today with another Trump supporter. Neither of us chose him in the primary, but both of us jumped on board when he became the candidate. We are both tickled pink with Trump, his policies and his cabinet. I have picked up from overheard conversation that other supporters are also pleased.

Like Mark Levin I supported Cruz and voted against Hillary. Trump has done a whole lot of good in the meanwhile. It’s clear the RINO congress is in opposition to getting anything done. That has been known for quite awhile but Trump is exposing their duplicity to a very bright light
