Twenty-one months of jail time may seem light to some, but it is not for a normal person. Another thing to consider is that, IMHO, Weiner will not have a successful probation. He will likely be returned to jail. Early in my career I defended some clients accused of minor sex crimes, like exposure and such. I recall a judge once saying at a sentencing, “I wish you well, but I know you will be back. People like you never really change.” Lo, he was right, and many of the clients I represented came back again and again.
So you’re saying that he, upon release, should try to move to SF, and fit into the city’s citizenry?
Do you know if he will have to serve half (10.5 months), before being released on parole for good behavior? If so, is it likely he will not be sent to the “big house”, but will do his time in a county jail?
He’s already proven you correct. This was not his first or second instance of publicly humiliating himself.
This was THE THIRD TIME he’s been caught.
