Yep, I asked the same question. The entire industry is at fault. Just another gubbie shakedown!

Thanks for the video. I watchedthe first. It is interesting and I will watch the rest later.
I have a late 90s 000C-1E I has a Fishman pre amp, a cutaway.
It’s just a little smaller than a full size dreadnought, I guess they call it an auditorium model.
It has a cut away. I’m a finger picking fool who plays all over that neck.
It has nice low action with no buzzing frets.
It is a really nice player.
I’m pretty good at it, if I do say myself.
Yeah, I said it, but, you can SAY anything on the internets.

Most impressive tour. I took the tour in the early 90’s with my brother. I lost track of how many Martins I’ve owned in my younger days.

Oh yeah, sure you just had to humble my ass down didnt ya! Ha! He is one of the greats but no one was smoother than Chet. I actually like Doyle better than any of the top players for raw talent. Richard Smith is a phenomenal talent. Thom Bresh is a great entertainer especially when he impersonates everyone.
I am deaf in one ear and don't hear very well with the other but I can still enjoy these guys. Merle Travis saved Chet from being another Les Paul wannabe.

The Artisan aspect of Martin is amazing, however, the wood smell on the tour is everything.

I inherited a Martin D something or other from my father. He got it maybe in 1940. I never liked it because fretting wore my fingers out. Gibson with flat-wounds was my preference. I gave the Martin to my son, who took it to a luthier who cut down into the string notches to lower the strings. Plays much better.

I’d like to visit the factory, but I’m sure all those guys that made the carved-top archtops are long gone.
