At the company where I worked almost the entire floor staff was black. When Obama ran against McCain the parking lot was full of Obama stickers. There was one McCain sticker; on a Prius. I talked to my fellow Republicans. After looking around to be certain they couldn’t be overheard, a common body-tick at work, they said versions of, “I don’t want my car keyed.”

I stopped at a black run roadside stand that sold the best BBQ in town. It was a Sunday and an elderly couple rolled up with a Romney sticker. (This was during the campaign.) A group of blacks followed them up and began harassing the oldsters. The man guided his wife back to the car and drove off. The owner of the stand laid into the ruffians. Those had been his customers for a decade and the ruffians had run them off. Their excuse was, “But, a Romney sticker, man!” The owner literally ran them off. (I witnessed the end as I drove off, never to stop there again, as the other customers, made me too uncomfortable.)

This is the state of the Left vs. Right divide. The Left is in-your-face with no discussion and no chance to debate. Just the threat of violence.

I don’t know when it started, but I’m getting tired of the “survivors” crap. The people who escaped from being trapped at Truckee Lake with the Donner Party situation, were survivors. The people who lived through the Titanic’s sinking were survivors. People who win their battle with cancer are survivors. Kids who attend a school where a shooting occurs, who never saw the gunman aren’t. Girls who got felt up one time in high school aren’t either.

My son had a furniture design company and he went to a furniture trade show in Manhattan and a showing of his furniture in the Hamptons. He had a Republican sticker on his car. It was keyed while in Manhattan and again in Long Island.
