From Daylight Savings Time to Housing and Healthcare: there are several key State and Local (Los Angeles County) measures on the ballot for November 6th. This thread is for Freepers to list and share the Propositions they are voting Yes/No on and why.
(Vanity: I could use some advice as there are several issues I am on the fence about or don't understand the economics behind.)
Feel free also to suggest or endorse candidates in heated races where the political dividing lines are not so clear. (IE: two Democrats running.)

Tom McClintock on California’s November Ballot Proposition

I voted yes on 5,6,7 and 11
Prop 6 - Repeal the Gas Tax has to be a YES vote!!
Dave Cox - a MUST!!
Tom McClintock has a very good perspective out for all to read. I’ll see if I can find it, or I’ll have to type it up.
The Senate race between Feinstein (D) and Leon (D) is an easy choice for California Freepers if they take a moment to think about it.
If John Cox becomes Governor and Dianne Feinstein (age 85) dies in office then the Republican Governor can appoint a REPUBLICAN to the Senate to replace her.
Or Leon (whose stage name is ‘de Leon’) will become the Senator and may stay there for 30+ years.
Also note that Leon is a La Raza and Aztlan racist who in the past has supported ethnic cleansing policies and who has supported California either rejoining Mexico or becoming an independent Hispanic-only country.
I say hold your nose and vote for Feinstein.
Better the Devil you know...
Tom McClintock’s perspective:
1, No 2, No 3, No 4, No 5, Yes 6, Yes 7, Yes 8, No 9, removed 10, No 11, Yes 12, No.
You want to know why of course so find McClintock’s site, and see if the article we read, and agree with is there. We read his article in an associated with something article here at FR, so it’s probably listed at Google under his name. I have places to go, and things to do.
I have my middle finger fully extended for Feinstein. Your logic makes some sense but I’m a vindictive bastard and the most direct statement I can make to DiFi is to vote against her.
Write in a republican name
Vote no on anything not clear. Constitutional mend nets should always reduce government power period. In California I believe the last time I thought any proposition was reasonable was prop 13
I don’t like her either. If it weren’t for the statistical probability that she’ll be dead soon I would not care which Democrat wins that election.
Proposition 1 Bonds Issues $4 billion in bonds for housing programs and veterans' home loans
Proposition 2 Bonds Authorizes state to use revenue from millionaire's tax for $2 billion in bonds for homelessness prevention housing
Proposition 3 Bonds Issues $8.877 billion in bonds for water-related infrastructure and environmental projects
Proposition 4 Bonds Issues $1.5 billion in bonds for children's hospitals
Proposition 5 Taxes Revises process for homebuyers who are age 55 or older or severely disabled to transfer their tax assessments
Proposition 6 Taxes Repeals 2017's fuel tax and vehicle fee increases and requires public vote on future increases
Proposition 7 Time Authorizes legislature to provide for permanent daylight saving time if federal government allows
Proposition 8 Healthcare Requires dialysis clinics to issue refunds for revenue above a certain amount
Proposition 10 Housing Allows local governments to regulate rent on any type of housing
Proposition 11 Labor Allow ambulance providers to require workers to remain on call during breaks paid
Proposition 12 Animals Bans sale of meat from animals confined in spaces below specific sizes

You can always write in none of the above as a protest vote to make you feel better.
Please ping me with any Southern California related articles. Thank you!
If you want on or off this ping list, please FReepmail me.
Daylight Savings Prop 7
You can vote Yes if you’d like but it will not be enacted anytime soon. Florida (I think) is still waiting for their Prop to be enacted. My thoughts are it would make too much of a patch work time confusion. Arizona Never enacted daylight savings so they are fine with year round Standard Time.

If your going to list them, you should also list their PROS and CONS.
Two thirds of the Ballot Measures are PURE CRAP once you know what they are about.
NO ON: 1-2-3-4-8-10-and 12.
To somebody out of state some of that garbage might sound OK, it’s not.
Funny, I was thinking the same thing about Feinstein dying and John Cox for Gov. Thing is, unfortunately Feinstein is wicked enough to live forever and Cox will not be gov. Feinstein has power in the Senate because of her time spent there, and Leon will be a newbie and hopefully his ultra liberal ridiculous ideals will be rejected by the rest of the senate. It was a stupid republican that put us in this mess of having to vote for the top 2 in CA. Curses.
