Republican pollster Frank Luntz has suggested that Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez would be the Democratic party’s best candidate to challenge President Donald Trump in 2020 if she were legally able to run.
“The key is authenticity,” Luntz told Fox News host Laura Ingraham Tuesday evening. “You want to say what you mean, mean what you say,” he continued. “You want to be able to look straight at the camera and be yourself. And at least half of them [the 2020 Democratic candidates] are trying to be something that they’re not,” he argued.
Ingraham then pointed out that Ocasio-Cortez, despite her disagreements with the congresswoman’s policy ideas, “seems very genuine. And she looks like she’s having fun.”
Luntz agreed wholeheartedly, suggesting she’d be the best option to take on Trump. “No one is having a better time at politics than Donald Trump and AOC,” the pollster asserted. “They should run against each other, even though legally she can’t,” he added, as Ingraham laughed.
Ocasio-Cortez, a progressive from New York, has shot into the national spotlight as one of the country’s most well-known politicians, but she is ineligible to run for president because she is too young. The Constitution specifies that the president must be 35 years old when they take office, and Ocasio-Cortez is only 29.

The way that people are pumped up about her, I could see the journalism crowd proclaiming her the next ‘JFK’, and we go through a four-year dimwit phase. I’d be selling all my stock as that election approaches, and preparing for a massive stock market collapse.
AOC is just the latest piece of evidence that a New York City politician is the answer to problems most Americans don’t have. She can’t even get a single bill related to her stupid pet issues passed in her own house of Congress, let alone signed into law.

Luntz ‘sells’ a product...polling that makes you look good or the other guy look bad.
At some point after 2016 Iowa caucus, he brought six Iowa vote-for-Hillary folks on a live interview, and asked what was special about Hillary when she was Senator and Sec of State....not a single person could answer that question. At the time, I thought it really helped Bernie a great deal, and proved that voters by November had a big issue in voting for her.
One has to remember that Luntz was also anti-Trump through the election and for the entire first year of the administration. Maybe he sees the Trump win easily in 2020, and is really aiming for 2024 for his next big impact.
I think the ‘Bohemian’ attraction to AOC is that this Green Deal, and the 10 to 20 Trillion Dollar cost factor. There’s some fantasy that at the end of this eight years of AOC and 20 trillion spent...there’s something magnificent there and a bold new world. For you and me, we’d be back to mule-drawn wagons, surviving off a garden plot, and appreciating even a sip of Pabst Blue Ribbon.

Maybe Newsweak calls him one because he appears on Fox News.

What makes me mad about the Taco Bell tacos is that they put the greasy meat in the shell first. By the time I get home (2 miles), the bottom of the shell is soggy and the taco breaks apart.
Why not the lettuce and tomato stuff first, then the meat followed by cheese? ....Tired of eating TB tacos with fork.
