It's rather surprising to me, actually. He was the Governor of New Jersey for years. NJ didn't -really- start going down the rathole until after he left. I always had a pretty high opinion of him. Guess he's changed.

These commissions are nothing but convenient trash heaps upon which to dump unpleasant tasks. Presenting them as "independent" bodies to get to the bottom of something and then carefully feeding them pre-screened material produces an administration's intended outcome.
