In light of the DEM memo.......I wonder if this was leaked to the Times from someone on the Intelligence Committee....I don't think the Pentagon's email's are available to reporters..

This smells like a RAT planted story.

Ding! Ding! Ding! wE HAVE A WINNER! You have rightly recognized this as a Red Herring attempt at damage control from THE MEMO. They are following THE MEMO to obscure THE MEMO - and that is the smell of desperation.

Amazing we have a memo .....that Zell Miller called treason or its first cousin.....but the NYTimes and CBS and ABC feature this story.

What the media doesn't understand is we have their playbook....:-)

Another thing I remembered is the memo mentions the RATS wanted to open an investigation into Sec. Rumsfeld and his office ....and look whose deputy is mentioned in the article Doug Feith.....Rummy's aide.
