Angry mob kill ex-Baath party chief
04:02:50 È.Ù Iraq, Dec 18 - The former regional chief of the deposed Baath Party was beaten and shot dead by an angry crowd near this Shiite holy city, a Shiite official said Thursday.
Ali Abdullah Al-Dhalimi had been hiding since invading US-led troops overthrew the Baathist regime of Saddam Hussein in April, said Ahma Daaybel of the Supreme Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq (SCIRI) in Najaf.
Daaybel said a crowd killed Dhalimi in Kufah, near Najaf, 180 kilometres (110 miles) south of Baghdad.

Ali Abdullah Al-Dhalimi-- Still alive, 2002. Not still alive, 2003.

The democrats HAVE to spin whatever Bush does. There should be contests to determine HOW they will spin whatever. What gets me is the prominent exposure given their spins by the conservative talk shows.
They don't need their own talk shows - they fill ours. No matter how radical - it will be reported nation wide on Sean Hannity's talk show and TV program not by Alan Colmes - by Sean Hannity.
It then is evaluated nationwide. If it had been ignored, how would they get it nationwide?

Ya know, it's the same people that are pushing all this PC crap that are simultaneously trying to "third-worldize" the USA. Sometimes I can't help but hope that THEY reap what they sow.

And I wonder: Will the alphabet networks pick this up?If they do (highly debatable), they will -
- Spin it as proof that all of Iraq is still in anarchy and chaos, and thus the Administration is lying about the progress we have made there.
- Imply that this proves the Iraqis are savages who are not ready for civilization and the rule of law, so this just cements the need to not let the Iraqis try Saddam for war crimes.
- Speculate that these aren't mobs of "real" Iraqis, but specially-trained death squads that the Administration is using to crush all "legitimate" dissent without getting their hands dirty.
- Make ridiculous claims that the Administration should have predicted that this was going to happen, and given these ex-Baathists special protection.

The chickens are coming home to roost...finally!
This is what Bush1 wanted after GW1: That the Shiites would rise up against the ruling Baath party and finish the job they had started. However, the Baathists beat them to the punch and filled a lot of holes in the ground with Shiites. Now the pendulum has swung the other direction....

I hope that the same thing starts happening to some of these insurgents. I am hoping that some of the Iraqi's know who they are and take them out before they can attack any more civilians or U.S. troops.

It's all Bush's fault.
Tommy Daschle is deeply saddened.
France and Germany demand a UN inspection team to investigate.
Now that Saddam is history, the Iraqi's are going to take care of his thugs themselves :-)
