Jeb Bush,
Floridas Favorite Governor,
wishes you and yours
a Merry Christmas / Happy Hanukkah!
Holiday Message from Governor Jeb Bush, to FL Guardsmen
This message comes to you across continents and oceans, and carries with it the gratitude of more than 16 million residents of Florida. We are united with you in spirit and hope this holiday season, and pray for your success and safe return. Our joy this holy season is tempered by your absence.
As we reflect on our blessings this year, we are awed by your courage and humbled by your sacrifice for our safety. Today you serve as part of the mightiest military the world has ever known, as a defense against lawlessness and hate among those who fear freedom, as a warning to those who wish your country harm, and as a beacon of hope to all who yearn for liberty.
You are the world's best hope that "Peace on Earth and Goodwill Toward Men" can become more than a holiday wish. You stand on the frontlines at the crossroads of history, changing the destiny of the world through your courage and compassion. We applaud you, we miss you, we pray for you and your families.
We ask that God bless you with strength to complete your work and that He speed you home to those who love you. As we celebrate the humble birth that brought the message of peace and love to the earth, we remember the men and women who fight for the freedom and security to let those gifts flourish.

Statement By: Governor Jeb Bush: Christmas
Once again Christmas is upon us, and with it comes the spirit of giving. Tonight, on Christmas Eve, as we begin to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ with our families and friends, let us reflect on our own good fortune and remember to give back to those in need. As I travel around the state, I see the generosity and charitable trust of Floridians who come together in good faith to help other Floridians.
During this Christmas holiday, let us thank God for the blessings given to our state. Let us also thank the men and women who are serving our nation abroad, protecting our freedom and liberating good people from years of oppression.
As Columba and I gather with our family, we extend our Christmas wishes and blessings of peace and hope to the millions of Floridians who join us in celebrating this holiday.

Statement By: Governor Jeb Bush: Hanukkah
Floridians of the Jewish faith begin the celebration of Hanukkah tonight. Hanukkah honors the rededication of the Holy Temple in Jerusalem on the 25th day of Kislev, and the miracle of the oil that burned for eight days.
The story of Hanukkah inspires us and reminds us that even though we face challenging times, miracles do happen. This holiday season, many Floridians face the challenge of celebrating the holidays while their loved ones are serving our country abroad. During this period of faith and celebration, I encourage all Floridians to keep our soldiers in their thoughts and prayers.
Columba and I send our best wishes to those celebrating the Festival of Lights this year. May this be a time of peace and happiness for you and your family.
Merry Christmas, Summer ! ...
