AP ^
Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger ordered California's attorney general Friday to take legal action to stop San Francisco from granting marriage licenses to gay couples. In a letter to Attorney General Bill Lockyer, Schwarzenegger directed the state's top lawyer "to take immediate steps" to get a definitive court ruling declaring what the city is doing to be illegal. "Our civilized society and legal system is based upon a respect for and adherence to the rule of law. The City and County of San Francisco's unfortunate choice to disregard state law and grant marriage certificates to gay couples directly undermines this fundamental guarantee,"...

Surely the newly elected gubner of the Great State of Californica never thought he would go down in history for squashing a queer uprising in San Francisco!

Look closely at the armed enforcers of the will of the mayor of San Franciso and also at those chanting "This is WRONG - This is WRONG!

Their open demonstrations against homosexuality is a FELONY in our neighboring country Canada . .

Members of Repent America, a religious group based in Philidelphia, gather and chant "This is wrong, this is wrong," in front of a line of same sex couples waiting to process their paper work for marriage at San Francisco City Hall, Friday, Feb. 20, 2004. (AP Photo/Erin Lubin)

San Francisco County Superior Court Judge Ronald Evans Quidachay gestures during a court hearing about same-sex marriages in San Francisco, Friday, Feb. 20, 2004. Evans told all those present demanding the court uphold what California voters four years ago VOTED to overwhelmingly approve a measure that says only marriages between men and women are valid to ..

I think that three volunteer freepers should get in line, and demand that all three be married. Just to lampoon them. Or a mother and son, or brothers, or sisters, or....

You get the picture. Force those perverts to announce "Our chosen perversion is normal and fine, but YOUR perversion is beyond the pale!"

Lockyer, an elected Democrat who is a potential candidate in the 2006 governor's race, has said he plans to vigorously defend state laws barring gay marriage.

That is a bald-faced lie. Lockyer got an early heads-up from SF Mayor Gavin Newsom and he STILL chose to do nothing!

Lockyer should be impeached for this active malfeasance!

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger ordered California's attorney general Friday to "take immediate steps" to get a court ruling to make the city stop.

The truth is Arnold made a request. He can't "order" Lockyear to do anything. The AG is an elected official not answerable to the Governor. He is answerable to the people though, and has ambitions to run for Governor himself. So does he alienate the majority of the voters who passed Prop. 22 banning homosexual marraige, or p*ss off the homosexual lobby including all those Democrat donors? Such a quandery for a liberal politician. He will of course try to waffle, denouncing the "marriages" without taking any concrete action to stop them.
