Heidelberg welcomes V Corps home from Iraq By Spc. Kristopher Joseph HEIDELBERG, Germany (Army News Service, March 22, 2004) One year to the day after U.S. forces first crossed from Kuwait into Iraq, the deafening sound of artillery resonated throughout Campbell Barracks as hundreds of Soldiers in desert uniform -- now war veterans -- participated in the official ceremony to welcome V Corps home from Operation Iraqi Freedom. |
A reintegration briefing for family members of Soldiers who deployed to Operation Iraqi Freedom will be conducted live and by teleconference for several Army communities in Germany next week. For more information on the briefing and how to attend, click here.
Soldiers who deployed to Israel and Turkey in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom are now authorized to wear combat patches for the operation under a Department of the Army policy change. For details, click here.

Soldiers and civilians redeploying from Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom can now take advantage of the Armed Forces Recreation Center Europe expansion of its Operation R&R program.
