Republican Positions

National Security, being the highest priority at this time, should be approached more pragmatically and not what is politically expedient. This shall include:

A complete close down of northern and southern borders, using military forces if necessary. If we can try to close borders of other countries to protect them, we should be able to do it here to protect us.

Hardening of cockpit doors on airplanes, and sensible, aggressive arming of pilots.

Cleaning house of the old Democrat holdovers from the Clinton administration. These relics from before 9/11/01 have done more damage to the Bush administration and the war on terror than Al Quada has done since 9/11/01.

We need to treat the war on terror as a war and fight like we intend to win. We are better than our enemy, but we will fight on our terms, with the rules the enemy sets, not some indifferent United Nations.

Terrorist profiling should be uncompromising in our search for our enemies for homeland defense. This includes racial profiling for airline passengers. No more 80 year old women and 3 year old children singled out for intensive searches. We need to find terrorists and stop appeasing the leftist America haters.

I am going to my caucus this evening. I would like to submit a position to be voted on to eventually submit to the RNC. What do you think? Anything to add or take away?
