Don't Be Surprised When Iraqi WMD Found

April 20, 2004

I don't know if you heard about this, because it has not been widely reported. Terrorists linked to Al-Qaeda were poised to detonate a chemical bomb in the heart of Amman, Jordan, that would have killed 20,000 people and contaminated a large area. King Abdullah praised Jordan's intelligence service for foiling a crime never before seen in the kingdom of Jordan. The target was a headquarters of the general intelligence department on a hill in Amman.

King Abdullah was to be in America to meet with President Bush, but decided not to come because of this threat. Where this story gets interesting is that King Abdullah of Jordan says that the vehicles carrying these explosives, the chemical bomb, were smuggled over the border from neighboring Syria. Syria is denying this, but these are weapons of mass destruction.

Syria is a transit point for weapons of mass destruction. The whole subject of where are the weapons of mass destruction remains a focal point of mine. It remains an area of heightened curiosity, because I do not believe that they have been destroyed. I do not believe that Iraq never had them. I think Iraq had them. I think Iraq was working on them. I don't think the world's intelligence agencies are as woefully incompetent and bad and inept as the whole weapons of mass destruction issue would lead us to believe.

There are some things missing from buildings in Iraq, and there's too much speculation out there about how some of this stuff can be miniaturized and transported out of the country easily. Syria is an obvious place, and many people I respect have pointed to the Bekaa Valley as a place as well. We're not going to invade Syria any time soon to find out, but this is the second example of weapons of mass destruction-type coming out of Syria.

Now, they had to get to Syria somehow. I just want to keep your mind open to the possibility that these weapons of mass destruction from Iraq are somewhere, and they've not been destroyed. They haven't just vanished into the ether, and I'm going to make a prediction to you that all of the liberals and critics of the president who have harped on this and jumped on this have once again jumped the gun. They are a little premature here because we don't know yet what, if anything, did happen to those weapons of mass destruction, despite knowing that they did exist. So keep your hats on and don't be surprised down the road what is learned at some point.

Yellow cake uranium has been found at junk yards in Rotterdam and that's exactly what Iraq was looking for. This stuff could have been disbursed over the years to any number of places, and if you think that an Al-Qaeda related group is going to blow up Amman, Jordan with weapons that were procured from Syria, if you think that Al-Qaeda is not related to what all was going on in Iraq, and the Middle East, then you are engaged in blindness or wishful thinking. That is the position of the left, and that's why they can't be trusted to be placed in a leadership position.

I wonder where the chemical weapons in Syria came from.

And naturally we need to invade Syria to prove that they are there, since we didn't find any in Iraq, I suppose?

I wonder how Saddam killed these Iranians with chemical weapons.

Well let's see, he was our ally at the time wasn't he? I think gassing Iranians was considered the work of God back then when he was doing it, since he was killing the followers of the villain du jour, Ayatolla Khomeini.

A sea of glass with a great big hole in the middle ... kinda' like a shiny bagel.
I hope it warms your heart to be associated with these kinds of sentiments. And I'm sure you can square this with the "just war" doctrine.

P.S. Don't go away mad.

"But just go away," I suppose. LOL, don't worry, you will be in little danger of having your propaganda-brainwashed "higher cognitive functions" unbalanced any further, since I don't waste much time on these useless threads.

Some years from now, Baghdad is going to be a premium vacation destination. I plan to be there playing golf someday

Amazing! It's all true what they say.

We know Saddam had WMD because he has used them in the past and we have seen the proof.

"Don't say 'we' kemo sabe." I've never seen any such proof. Maybe we'll find it at the same time we find the evidence of massive ethnic cleansing in Kosovo.

I saw David Gergen on Greta van Susteren a couple of months ago, and he said that intelligence knew the weapons, components, etc were moved to Syria, Libya, and I can't remember the other country. That was the first time I heard that (Libya specifically) and it was before Quaddafi rolled.

We gotta get rid of the big boys, and then we can deal with the pissants spread throughout the world throwing rocks at us (with all due respect to the thousands who have died at the hands of the murderers, and our fallen soldiers) It's not that we aren't now: we are, along with many other countries including Germany, France and Spain, making arrests all over the world, and attacks are being thwarted almost daily.

And they say Bush isn't winning battles in the war on terror!! He isn't playing nice with Europe.

Hello? John Kerry? Even the leaders of Europe know you're a flip-flopper. At least they can trust Bush to say want he'll do, and do what he says.

Dang... there's a whole lot of dead Iranians and dead Kurds that might have some argument with that.

So the Iraqi invasion was revenge for dead Iranians and Kurds? The Ayatollah is thanking us from his grave.

Wait till a WMD goes off in Baghdad. Then what will we do with 5000 dead Americans in the Green Zone? Maybe another Ceasefire?

We need to finish these pukes off now, time is on the enemies side.

"In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king."

Of course, coming from someone who chooses not to see the obvious...

I do have to give you credit.. you baited me into responding when I swore that I would never have a battle of wits with someone unarmed.

The entire story is weird. The media just reports it
matter-of-factly as if these things occur everyday.
My take is that the US Government has put out the word
to the media to suppress the story for some reason or,
OR --- it just a fabrication by the Jordanians for some reason of their own.

OK, I wasn't going to say anything since your posts and the counter posts were becomming emotional, but..

In reguards to "evidence of massive ethnic cleansing in Kosovo", does this include Bosnia, Serbia, and Croatia too?

If so, I was a platoon leader in Bosnia, Serbia and Croatia. I saw the mass graves, smelled the stench (no word comes close to that terrible smell), listened to the depraved rantings of blood-lust from all sides. I was in Brckco and saw the "sausage factory" where untold numbers of civilians were ground-up and dumped into a lime-filled pit. Is that proof enough?

My friends, fellow LTs, went to Kosovo in 99 as the first M1A1 tank company to enter Kosovo after the bombings. They saw the same things we saw in Bosnia, but fresh, not burried for a few years while the UN looked the other way.

Is that proof enough?

"I respect have pointed to the Bekaa Valley as a place as well/"

As a side show curiosity, the "bible code" says there are WMD in the Bekka Valley and in Lebbanon. (I saw a show about the bible code on the history channel.) No flames please, I just think it is curious.

But you DID reply about this USELESS THREAD. There is a vast gap between propaganda and a desire to grasp the big picture. I prefer the balance of the big picture.
Besides, it is easier to see, than the stretches one has to make to believe the diatribe of those who think this is all our fault.
