I found this quite interesting. What it is saying (and has not been removed from the Arkansas Constitution by any act or amendment I have been able to find) is that anyone who denies God (Athiest) is not allowed by the constitution to hold public office or to testify as a whitness in ANY court.
I guess it all depends on the definition of "deny God". After all, a former Governor and POTUS (how I hate saying that) redefined many words while in office. Hopefully we are not counting on his type of definition....
So - especially for those in Arkansas - get a liberal running for office or someone about to testify against you in court - just get them to somehow imply or state that they don't believe in God (or find someone who will testify that they have said as much) and you should have a case against THEM......
I'm surprised this has been allowed to stay in the Constitution....

you realize that the typo in the title really is quite
severe, don't you?

At this point a whiteness may be passed over for admissions at UofM.

Can you imagine suing Clinton in Arkansas? How many of the witnesses you would call to testify could beg off because of this provision?
To: cripplecreek
I don't think he meant whiteness. I'm pretty sure he meant whitless (somebody who just don't care.)

That might have been considered legally valid prior to the 14th amendment.

I hope, sort of, that you did this on purpose.

I believe the Federal Constitution bars any religious minister from holding office.

Constitution Bars Athiests from holding public office and testifying as a whitness! I'm quite certain that if you do further research, you'll find that a post with a title bungled this much will also preclude you from holding public office. Are we a Nation of Dumbies or what?
To: TheBattman
I guess that one's shot, eh...
To: TheBattman
Don't worry, at the present rate there will be no more "atheists" in 30 years after muslims have gained control. All the "atheists" will be dead, killed by the "believers."
