Kerry/Edwards slogans are borrowed from Communists
WSJ/Opinion Journal ^ | Friday, July 9, 2004 | James Taranto

It turns out "Let America be America again" isn't the Kedwards campaign's only communist-inspired slogan. John Edwards's claim that we are "two Americas" echoes a speech given by James P. Cannon to the 1948 convention of the Socialist Workers Party, a Trotskyite outfit:

"There are two Americas--and millions of the people already distinguish between them.

One is the America of the imperialists--of the little clique of capitalists, landlords, and militarists who are threatening and terrifying the world. This is the America the people of the world hate and fear."

This is the America the people of the world hate and fear.
I know they hate us; that they fear us is what I hope.

He is quoting Langston Hughes who was a communist... and we also must remember that FDR thought highly of Mussolini's economy before the war too.

Difference is Brezhnev was proud to wear his medals and didn't throw them away.

Have to disagree. Kerry has better hair. Brezhnev has a better eyebrow if you like the "one big wooly-bear caterpillar" look.

"Do you want a medal or a chest to pin it on?"

Communists live for military fashions. It's the best they have to offer their sheeple.

Remember the old Soviet line about their leaders. Well in that vein, maybe Kerry will get a cold soon.

It is truly amazing that a major party candidate for US president would draw his inspiration from the man who wrote:

Goodbye,
Christ Jesus Lord God Jehova,
Beat it on away from here now.
Make way for a new guy with no religion at all—
A real guy named
Marx Communist Lenin Peasant Stalin Worker ME—
I said, ME!

ATTRIBUTION: LANGSTON HUGHES, “Goodbye Christ,” The Negro Worker, November/December 1932, p. 32.

Kerry's new slogan is Mr. Hughes' "Let America Be America Again", which correctly interpreted means "Let America become Soviet Socialist. Kerry also just wrote a preface to an new edition of Mr. Hughes poems.

Of course, his apologists say that Mr. Hughes never was a member of CPUSA. But he did write another poem vowing to strive to put another "S" in "USA", the "S" standing for Soviet.

Looks like General Secretary Brezhnev kept his medals AND ribbons, though.

And I doubt that he ever voted for the 87 billion of defense appropriations before he voted against it.

So there ARE 2 Americas. The one founded by our forefathers, USA, and John Kerry's USSA.

Exact Quote from Edwards' original "two-America" speech sounds very much like the class warfare promoted by the communists, he borrowed not just the words "two Americas", but the philosophy as well.

Edwards Speech Text: 'Two Americas' (class warfare)(Dec 2003)

"Today, under George W. Bush, there are two Americas, not one: One America that does the work, another America that reaps the reward. One America that pays the taxes, another America that gets the tax breaks. One America that will do anything to leave its children a better life, another America that never has to do a thing because its children are already set for life. One America -- middle-class America - whose needs Washington has long forgotten, another America - narrow-interest America - whose every wish is Washington's command. One America that is struggling to get by, another America that can buy anything it wants, even a Congress and a President. "
