BUMP
God bless Dr. Dobson.
Please let me know if you want on or off my Pro-Life Ping List.
Thanks for posting..BTW..you have Freepmail
12. All advertising would have to include a number of gay "couples" for all products. If companies don't include them, they will get sued. It's sick.
Dobson is a nimrod.
So many assertions, so little evidence. This business of blaming the decline of marriage in the Scandanavian Countries and The Netherlands on gay marriage is particularly ludicrous, as a matter of causation. Dobson merely asserting it did, won't cut it. Of course, there is an issue vis a vis entitlement programs that must be addressed, including the gaming of the system.
1. The legalization of homosexual marriage will quickly destroy the traditional family.
The traditional family is getting more popular - the younger generation in larger numbers is choosing it over the alternatives. If you look at the gay parades they are mostly older, just like the war protesters - they'll die away.
8. Religious freedom will almost certainly be jeopardized.
What people are crying about concerning religious freedom and persecution of Christians in America is laughable. The churches simply need to drop their tax exempt status to be free of the government.
10. The gospel of Jesus Christ will be severely curtailed.
There is no way God's plans will ever be curtailed by man. If that were possible God would have been dead for good long ago.
Okay, just my opinion, your're certainly welcome to yours.
I am wondering why I have to obey the laws when liberals don't. What about equal disobeying protection of the laws.
Dobson is a charleton. Always has been, always will be.

Bump for later read.
This is the seminal issue of our time. The effects of this legalization will reach far and wide. Freedom of speech, fugeddaboutit...see Mcain-Finegold for starters..and laws in Britain and Canada. Condemn homosexuality and you have committed a hate crime. Take the schools...once they start to treat homo and heterosexual couples as equal, there will be a huge upsurge in private and home schooling. (assuming private schools can teach homosexuality is wrong). Old pretty boy Edwards Two Americas will become true...one America going to public schools the other not. In the workplace...can you imagine the sensitivity training, etc that we will have to endure? and as the govt moves to enforce the hate crimes, speech codes, equal protection laws etc....especially with a John Kerry or Hillary Clinton as president. (bound to happen folks). And the kids...since the Bible will be seen as hate literature will the good folks from the social welfare agencies come to take away your kids for indoctrinating them with hate? After all, how are those gay couples going to get their kids if not through our great social welfare agencies. (ok thats a bit extreme). This is it gang....unfortunately Capitol Hill is full of gays as staffers on both sides of the aisle. Familiarity has bred familiarity....so I don't think our greatest deliberative body is going to do anything. I have written my Congressman/Senators and gotten the (we think the state DOMAs are good enough BS). But keep writing....we have little choice not to.
Probably not. Those who want a traditional marriage can still have one. Most people will opt for tradition, even though something like 50% of straight marriages will end in divorce, but I guess that's just part of the tradition.
2. Children will suffer most.
Suffer what and compared to what? This statement reads like a deceptive ad. Sort of like "More Doctors prefer XYC Aspirn" More doctors than what? Truck drivers? And they prefer aspirn over what? Root canal? Rainy weather? Dobson's statement is clever, because it can't be rebutted as written.
3. Public schools in every state will embrace homosexuality.
They already have.
4. Adoption laws will be instantly obsolete.
Small parts of the adoption laws may have to be modified or interpreted in a gender neutral fashion, but I don't see how the laws will be obsolete.
5. Foster-care programs will be impacted dramatically.
I don't get this one either.
6. The health care system will stagger and perhaps collapse.
That is certainly a real possibility. Or it could adapt. Regardless, there are a lot of other things that could kill the health care system, like illegal immigrants, fat people, and straight, married couples who stay together until "death do us part."
7. Social Security will be severely stressed.
That's a negative? I would like to see social security stressed so severely that it disappears completely.
8. Religious freedom will almost certainly be jeopardized.
I don't get this one either. Churches will continue to set their own rules, and people will continue to worship in the churches of their choice.
9. Other nations are watching our march toward homosexual marriage and will follow our lead.
Perhaps, but who cares what other countries think or do. France and Germany will probably do just the opposite of us.
10. The gospel of Jesus Christ will be severely curtailed.
Not for those who believe in the Holy Gospel and live their lives in accordance with the Scriptures. I do hope, however, that they also remember the part about loving their neighbor as they love themselves and not casting stones, and that they live by the Commandments that actually made the top ten.
11. The culture war will be over, and the world may soon become as it was in the days of Noah (Matthew 24:37).
So what. Jesus told us that the Day of Judgment will come and therefore, it must and there is nothing to stop it. Why? Because its part of God's plan.
Please note that I'm not pro-gay marriage. I am, however, against pitifully weak arguments that have no basis in fact.
GOD BLESS YOU Dr. DOBSON !!!!!!!!!!!! I have been on www.frc.org all day getting info and contacting my senators.
PRAYING MUCH HERE IN EAGLE ROCK.

So, Dobson is saying that the homosexuals who say they want to marry are all lying? That's hard to believe.
Also, the "Social Security will collapse" claim is curious; is he basically saying "we heterosexuals want to make sure that homosexuals support us in our old age by keeping them from getting the benefits we get"?
