Al-Qaida-OKC link incl. in Berger doc? Missing doc possi. presents evidence of Al-Zawahiri visit

The woman who wrote the definitive book on a Middle Eastern connection to the Oklahoma City bombing says the classified terror-threat report at the center of a criminal investigation of former Clinton aide Sandy Berger might include information about a high-level al-Qaida operative having visited OKC ahead of the 1995 attack on the Murrah Federal Building.

As WorldNetDaily reported, Berger removed handwritten notes and secret documents from a National Archives reading room prior to his testimony before the 9-11 Commission. One of the documents was the draft of an after-action report he ordered his anti-terror czar, Richard Clarke, to write in early 2000. Berger has spoken publicly about how the review brought to the forefront the realization that al-Qaida had reached America's shores and required more attention. The draft report of the NSC "Millennium After Action Review" addresses the Clinton administration's handling of al-Qaida terror threats during the December 1999 millennium celebration.

Jayna Davis, author of "The Third Terrorist: The Middle Eastern Connection to the Oklahoma City Bombing," points out the writing of the report was in the same timeframe Yossef Bodansky, former director of the Congressional Task Force on Terrorism and Unconventional Warfare, confirmed that Dr. Ayman Al-Zawahiri, one of al-Qaida chief Osama bin Laden's lieutenants, traveled to Oklahoma City in the spring of 1995 " to insure the smooth execution of the pending terrorist strike against the Murrah federal complex," said Davis.

"Bodansky explained that he did not confirm Al-Zawahiri's mission to the heartland state until late 1999," Davis told WND. "This revelation coincides with Richard Clarke's drafting of the Berger-directed review regarding the realization that al-Qaida had reached America's shores."

Asked Davis: "Was Bodansky's confirmation that the chief lieutenant of the bin Laden terror network traveled to the U.S. to oversee final preparations for the 1995 terrorist strike on the Oklahoma City federal building included in Clarke's draft reports that are now officially missing from National Archives?

"Did Berger and Clarke review Bodansky's skillful analysis of the Murrah Building bomb that drew striking parallels to the techniques used by known Islamist groups for operations in Argentina and elsewhere?"

Bodansky penned several task force warnings in 1995, which were generated from multiple intelligence sources in several Middle Eastern countries over a period of 18 months prior to the Oklahoma City bombing. Information was also gleaned from terrorist conferences that took place in the fall of 1994 and early 1995 in which Iran's desire to strike inside the "Great Satan" was unveiled. Davis noted President Clinton wielded the power of executive privilege to seal the 1995 task force warnings.

Yesterday, President Bush announced his administration is investigating links between Iran and the 9-11 attacks.

"As to direct connections with September the 11th, we're digging into the facts to determine if there was one," Bush said.

Bodansky is the author of the new book "The Secret History of the Iraq War," as well as "Bin Laden – The Man Who Declared War on America."

Davis' book documents her contention the government purposefully and willfully ignored evidence that implicated Middle Eastern suspects in the OKC attack – evidence that FBI and governmental sources believe possibly could have prevented the terrorist attacks of 9-11..

Intelligence work is at least half guess work and connecting the dots. No one should expect them to be correct all the time or even 75% of the time.

After writing a ludicrous story about "female Russian commandos" hanging out with the peaceniks outside Greenham Common during the Cruise Missile deployment there, Jane's got a frosty letter from Her Majesty's Ministry of Defense saying it was BS. The editor called him in, asked for sources, and called the sources...who all said, "Never heard of him."

Later on, he introduced 100% unsourced and 100% fictional material about bin Laden's teenage life in his biography of Osama.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

Also, Bodansky was the chief counter-terrorism expert for Congress in the 90's. He TOLD Congress that something was going to happen in the heartland and it would involve Muslim extremists using lily whites. He had even more detail than that but my book is out on loan to a friend and I can't remember more of what he said, but I can tell you, it proved to be true.

He wrote the book after the fact and claimed he'd said that in (conveniently classified) reports to Congress. Given his track record elsewhere, I'd take those claims with a grain of salt.

Ah, a few thousand dead citizens here and there don't matter. Hell there are 300 Million here. No one will notice if those in power continue to, through their inaction, cause the deaths as long as they are less than say 10,000 at a time.

Chill bro. Why do you think sedative sales are at an all time high? Reality is hard to take if you are someone who gives a ****!

Congress was told, and admitted they were told, about an impending terrorist attack in the homeland. I think that info came out during the re-opened investigation, although I hesitate to call it that.

I haven't read his book about OBL but how do we know the stuff about his early life was fictional? Just curious.

Muslims with tatoos, Flight 800 witnesses, Kennedy's head moving backwards as a bullet, supposedly, strikes him from the rear. Yeah, that magic bullet (remember Seinfeld didn't buy it either).

Yes by all means, trust your government. Trust them to get away with as much as possible.

You my notice that their activity, or lack there of, is constantly causing an increasing divide within this country. Citizens are loosing their lives, WACO, 9/11...etc.

It's a monster that will not obey. Sorry, I'm bumming myself out. Out!

Bodansky had him being a party animal in Beirut and London when he was actually living with his parents in Dhahran the entire time. Busted.

I hope she will be quoted. She is appearing on more talk shows and will be on Coast to Coast for 3 full hours at the beginning of August.

I don't know why Sean has not interviewed her.

Unfortunately, Bodansky's material is well... weird. Sometimes he gets things right, but he's kind of like Debka in that most of the time he's trying to play ball from the nosebleed section. He put out some elaborate material on Iraq and Sudan and Libya, and some has proven correct. But much of it simply can't be verified and only appears in his articles or in articles sourcing him so it has to be taken with a huge lump of salt. (Like those articles that all sprung from the same mythical source as Cap HIll Blue published on the Niger thing- the elusive "T J Wilkinson." )

I've inserted material from Bodansky in timelines on occasion (always sourced, of course so you know it's from him and can judge accordingly) along with others of questionable motives because in that format, sometimes you can see a pattern by noticing who comes up with what, as in the Niger Flap business where the best news isn't so much about what went on in Niger as it is about certain members of the press and how they are being manipulated or are tryig to manipulate public opinion. By seeing the various reports and who puts them out, you can get a feeling that info is pushed for Israeli-benefit, or Saudi benefit, or France's, or factions in Russia or simply some US politicians' benefit rather than simply being isolated timely news.

That's why I try to source anything I have- sometimes the same leaker goes around to different reporters and 'analysts' and studying that can be fun and informative whn compared to other events occuring at thesame time. Shermy's been pretty good at following the ebb and flow of certain press leaks, for example.

As have many others.

What was that other guy who used to come out with the suitcase nuke stuff all the time? He had a Russian-sounding name, something like 'Neved' and he was almost a fad to cite in some circles.

BUT don't they keep microfilm or copies of those documents

If not microfilmed, at least catelogued. There should be no mystery as to what is missing.

Hmmm. I don't know who the Russian is and appreciate the additional info on Bodansky. I had always thought he was more legit than not in a world of secrecy and guesswork.

Wonderful! I thought she was going to be on sometime in June, but then that appearance was canceled.

Would you be able to make an announcement when the date is firmed up?

Thanks.

Someone explained it pretty well in a post I can no longer find. (It's there somewhere...) Apparently each copy is numbered, 1 through whatever number of copies, and passed out to the recipients--who then read them, and often they add their own comments to the copy they have--then they turn them back in. So the body of the material is probably intact, but the notes will be lost. (Someone correct me if I have this wrong.)

That's because eyewitnesses saw Arabs leaving the scene. On-camera interviews with witnesses from the first hours after the bombing revealed that--then it quickly got buried. Much better from Clinton's point of view to blame it on Rush Limbaugh, directly or indirectly.

Poohbah, that's just plain nonsense. There were plenty of eyewitnesses that saw Arabs. Not just the one Peach mentioned, but actually three of them in a brown pickup truck fleeing the site.

There is so much information in that book about what people saw and smelled (fertilizer in the truck) in the weeks and days and minutes leading up to the bombing.

They all saw the same things and same people and reported some of them even before the bomb exploded. James Woolsey, former CIA Director, said that when the truth is known, the world would owe a debt of gratitude to Davis.

The NYC Counterterrorism chief said the same thing. So did some other pretty credible people. Very well researched book. I've purchased a copy and given it to my local library so more people read it and now my copy is at a friend's house.

Those of us who live here recall the on-camera interviews before policy was changed and they only aired the things that agreed with the Clinton point of view. Unfortunately, some OK officials complied, too.

You mean Lebed, probably, who died in an accident a couple of years ago.

THE OBSTRUCTION OF THE OKLAHOMA BOMBING GRAND JURY INVESTIGATION,
The Mysterious Jamie Gorelick Phone Call
By David Hoffman,Sun Sep 14 12:10:57 1997

On Aug. 22, 1996, just before the Democratic National Convention,
Ms. Gorelick oversaw a critical Justice Department meeting with the FBI.
mmediately after this meeting, as it happened,
all serious inquiry into the fate of TWA 800 came to an end.

Gorelick was instrumental in the corruption of TWA Flight 800 terrorism investigation
Did Clinton appointee corrupt Flight 800 probe?

GORELICK GATE - various FR links

Consider: If Gorelick, Clarke and Clinton had been completely HONEST
to the American public about the Islamic-crashed airplanes, like TWA800, in the 90's
or the other Islamic terror attacks, then Americans WOULD have been on alert on 911
and would have had the opportunity to prevent the 911 Atrocities.
