Froman plans to address and protect civil rights of minorities....

Is Froman Afro-American?

A good move IMHO. The "million mommies" against the "right to defend" soccer moms. Interesting.

Not the first woman in senior NRA positions, actually. Tanya Metaksa was Executive Director in the mid-90's.

I was hoping a woman would be picked. Good move. I'm a female NRA member and this is a good move to show women own firearms and care about their 2nd amendment rights. I don't think she is black.

Actually, Kayne Robinson took over Presidency from Charlton Heston last spring. Froman will be an excellant choice to replace him.

" A patron doesn't need to carry a gun into a restaurant."

Tell that to Suzanne Gratia Hupp.

Good. Maybe this will get more women to join the NRA and more to start carrying guns on a daily basis.

I was thinking that Tom Selleck would have made a good choice to follow Heston.

He's wealthy, finances and produces his own movies (Westerns now IIRC) and everyone in Holly-weird knows he's a "Right-Wing Gun Nut" anyway so his career wouldn't be harmed.

Plus he has a big imposing figure, is good looking (not in a girlie man way) and could swing a lot of "soccer moms" to our side.

Just a thought....

What about Ted Nugent? He would make a exciting head of the NRA.
