In searching the Internet, I found this quote from Killian in 1987. But he die earlier than that?
======================================================
"This is television, that's all it is. It has nothing to do with people, it's to do with ratings! For fifty years, we've told them what to eat, what to drink, what to wear... for Christ's sake, Ben, don't you understand? Americans love television. They wean their kids on it. Listen. They love game shows, they love wrestling, they love sports and violence. So what do we do? We give 'em *what they want*! We're number one, Ben, that's all that counts, believe me. I've been in the business for thirty years."

I put it under Political Humor. I think Arnold would appreciate this.

Very amusing. I always liked Richard Dawson. What ever happened to him?
To: doug from upland
To remove all doubt, Killian was a character (played by Richard Dawson) in the movie the "Running Man" who uttered these words. Arnold Schwarzenegger is the hero of "Running Man".

My favorite stalker was the opera-singing Christmas tree.

Thanks for clearing it up. Maybe besides the category, I should have put humor in the title.

Well, we (Free Republic) haven't been in the business as long as CBS or Rather.
But we're quick learners! And now we're going to give the people what they want!

Only in a re-run.
Tony: How's this one? Case one-fourteen: school teacher, killed his wife and his mother-in-law at a faculty dinner party with a steak-knife.
Damon Killian: Yeah. See, I like that quality.
